    Abstract: In a transmission for use in a motor vehicle is provided a transmission shaft having driven and driving gears on opposite ends thereof. Engine power is fed to the transmission shaft via the driven gear and then transmitted from the shaft to a final reduction-gear assembly via the driving gear. The transmission shaft is supported by first and second bearings radially and axially, respectively.
