  • Patent number: 9801158
Abstract: A device may obtain information. The information may represent a distance between a first user device and a second user device. The first user device and the second user device may share a destination address. The device may receive a first message associated with a call. The first message may be received based on the call having been made to the destination address. The device may determine, based on the information, whether to provide a second message associated with the call or a notification associated with the call. The device may selectively provide the second message or the notification based on determining whether to provide the second message or the notification.

  • Patent number: 9794938
Abstract: A method and system are provided having an uplink control structure and a pilot signal having minimal signal overhead for providing channel estimation and data demodulation in a wireless communication network. The uplink control structures enable mobile terminals to communicate with corresponding base stations to perform various functions including obtaining initial system access, submitting a bandwidth request, triggering a continuation of negotiated service, or providing a proposed allocation re-configuration header. A dedicated random access channel is provided to communicatively couple the base station and the mobile terminal so that the mobile terminal can select a random access signaling identification. A resource request is received at the base station to uplink resource information from the mobile terminal and an initial access information request is received from the mobile terminal to configure the base station connection.

  • Publication number: 20170265178
Abstract: To effectively and efficiently provide control information, a broadcast pointer channel (BPCH) may be used to identify the type and perhaps relative location of control information that is being provided in a given frame structure, such as a sub-frame, frame, or superframe. A sub-frame (or like framing entity, such a frame or superframe) may have a BPCH and a corresponding system control information segment in which control information may reside. The system control information segment may have any number of control information blocks, wherein each control information block that is present may correspond to a particular type of control information. The BPCH is used to identify the type of control information that is present in a corresponding system control information segment, and if needed or desired, the relative locations of the various control information.

  • Patent number: 9760642
Abstract: A system including a context-entity factory configured to build a data model defining an ontology of data objects that are context-aware, the model further defining metadata tags for the data objects. The system further includes a storage device storing the data objects as stored data objects, the device further storing associated contexts for corresponding ones of the stored objects. The system further includes a reduction component configured to capture a current context value of a first data object defined in the ontology, the component further configured to compare the current context value of the first data object with stored values of the associated contexts, and wherein when the current context value does not match a particular stored value of a particular associated context, the component is further configured to remove a corresponding particular stored data object and the particular associated context from the stored data objects.

  • Patent number: 9749994
Abstract: Mechanisms for feedback of channel quality information (CQI) in a multi-carrier environment are disclosed. A mobile station may include one or more antennas, and a transceiver coupled to the one or more antennas. The transceiver may be configured to receive (e.g., simultaneously) signals on a plurality of carriers. Each of the carriers may include synchronization channels. The transceiver may be further configured to, for each of one or more of the carriers: generate channel quality information (CQI) for the carrier based on pilot signals in the carrier; transmit the CQI for the carrier. The one or more carriers for which CQI is generated and transmitted may be determined by configuration information received from a base station.

  • Publication number: 20170204635
Abstract: Provided are integrated locks, aircraft galley systems using such locks, and aircraft including such galley systems. An integrated lock has a low profile and provides secure locking and visual indication of the lock status to meet various FAA regulations. The visual indication may be provided mechanically (e.g., by moving a two-color indicator between two positions) or electronically (e.g., by triggering a switch connected to a light or an electro-chromic device). Furthermore, a main indicator may be connected to multiple different locks to provide a combined visual indication of the status of all locks. A visual indicator may be disposed on a galley system frame. Each integrated lock may include a handle portion and a locking portion connected to the handle portion and configured to engage the galley system frame when the handle portion is in the locked position and the door is closed.

  • Patent number: 9691286
Abstract: Method, system and computer program product for providing a predicted vehicle track and for providing alerts when two predicted vehicle tracks are closer than a threshold amount. A vehicle intent prediction model is generated based on past instance of tracks for a vehicle operation, known vehicle intent data for the past instances, and contextual factors, such as weather, airline operator, air vehicle type or configuration, day of the week, etc. for the past instances. The vehicle intent prediction model can be generated using one or more machine learning algorithms. A future vehicle trajectory for a current vehicle operation can be output by the vehicle intent prediction model using the current track and existing contextual factors for the current vehicle operation. In the event that two vehicles following their respective predicted vehicle future trajectories would be closer than a threshold distance, an alert can be provided.

  • Patent number: 9673932
Abstract: Transmission of uplink control message for a wireless system. The uplink control message may be encoded according to one of multiple possible schemes. The choice of encoding scheme may be made based on the control message size and/or based on the available transmission resources and/or based on the detection scheme used on the receiving end. A modulation scheme may also be selected based on such factors. CDM may be used for certain control messages. Block code encoding, such as Reed-Muller encoding may be used for certain control messages. Different transmission resources may be allocated for different control message uses. The encoding specifics may be selected to obtain a certain hamming distance and/or size of the encoded message or based on other factors.
