Abstract: An integrated cutting and pressing board unit is for cutting, blocking and pressing of fabric parts for sewing together. A relatively flat cutting mat is formed of a solid plastic with a front face and a back face. A cushioned pressing board unit is intimately interconnected to the back face of the mat. The pressing board includes a support plate and an outer resilient pad interconnected to the support plate and an outer cover enclosing said plate and pad. The mat's front face and the outer cover each including a grid pattern with measuring indicia on the edges. The cover is formed of a fabric extended over the outer surface of the pad and board wrapped about the edges and interposed between the cutting mat and the pressing board unit. A handle extends outwardly one edge of the mat. The handle includes a hand opening including spaced edges. The handle opening has parallel edges spaced outwardly of the mat grid pattern and the pressing board unit.

Abstract: A needlework blocking apparatus includes an inner continuous board of a pressed fiber board or the like, which readily receives and holds conventional straight pins, headed-tacks or the like. An outer cover enclosure unit includes front and back wall covers which are interconnected along the perimeter by conventional sewing. The one cover is imprinted with blocking indicia including concentric squares and circles of different sizes as well as radial lines for proper locating of the needlepoint piece. The covers are formed of a napped 100.degree. cotton fabric for absorbing and holding sufficient moisture required for professional pressing and blocking needlework. A crush-proof inner cushion pad of polyurethene foam is bonded to the inner surface of the napped cotton working cover to define a soft cushioned working surface. The needlework piece is secured with the finished face abutting the soft cushioned working surface.

Abstract: A universal pressing ham support holds various pressing hams in various positions with a desired exposed pressing surface. A unitary formed support includes sidewalls having a central opening. The top edge of opposite sidewalls are provided with offset recesses, varying slightly in width which permit laying of the pressing ham on its shallow sidewalls. Opposite sidewalls have second recesses, with the width of one being substantially larger than the other for supporting the ham with the large sidewall exposed. The central opening supports the pressing hams on end. The inner vertical walls are specially stepped and shaped to locate the pressing hams in an essentially upright position with the desired end of the ham exposed for pressing.
