  • Publication number: 20250143880
Abstract: A device for reducing mitral valve regurgitation comprises a first protective tube and a second protective tube. Proximal portions of the two protective tubes are being attached side-by-side along at least a portion of the length of the two protective tubes to define a stem portion. Distal portions of the two protective tubes are being separated thereafter to define a hinge portion. The MLC device has a stopper being attached on the distal end of the second protective tube to configure to prevent further advancement of the second protective tube into heart muscle. The first protective tube has at least one anchor disposed between the hinge portion and the distal end of the first protective tube. • Publication number: 20250090152
Abstract: A device for performing tricuspid regurgitation operation is proposed. The device for performing tricuspid regurgitation operation is easily inserted through the inferior vena cava, the tricuspid valve, and the pulmonary artery in sequence in order to treat tricuspid regurgitation (TR) which is a disease where blood from the right ventricle flows back into the right atrium through an empty space (i.e., orifice) formed by incomplete closing of the tricuspid valve (TV) which is positioned between the right atrium and the right ventricle of the heart. The device includes: a fixing member for pulmonary artery installed in the pulmonary artery; a fixing member for inferior vena cava installed in the inferior vena cava; a connecting tube connecting the fixing member for the pulmonary artery and the fixing member for the inferior vena cava to each other; and a blocking part passing obliquely through the tricuspid valve.

  • Publication number: 20250025302
Abstract: A mitral cerclage annuloplasty apparatus comprising of a catheter with a blocking member and a capturing member. The blocking member is in the shape of a pigtail or a balloon, and is configured on the distal portion of the catheter preventing the catheter from traversing through an unsafe zone thereby enabling the catheter to pass through the safe zone. This prevents damage to critical cardiac tissues. The capturing member is adapted for pulling out a RVOT cerclage wire into the IVC, and comprises of an expandable and collapsible mesh so that the RVOT cerclage wire is captured and directed into the IVC through the safe zone. Thus the RVOT cerclage wire is passed through the RV without damaging the heart tissue forming a complete circle around the mitral valvular annulus.

  • Publication number: 20240268805
Abstract: A method of creating a transvenous access pathway into an interventricular septum of a patient's heart. This access pathway could be used for cardiac procedures such as cardiac pacing, RF (radiofrequency) ablation, or mitral valve cerclage procedures. The method uses a catheter device that is steerable at its distal end. After passing through the coronary sinus and into coronary vein (e.g. great cardiac vein), a puncture tool is advanced through the catheter device and made to puncture through the vein wall. To facilitate this, the distal end of the catheter device may be bent at an angle towards the vein wall. The puncture tool is pushed to bore through the myocardium towards the interventricular septum. This creates an entry passageway from the coronary vein, through the myocardium, and into the interventricular septum. This entry passageway could be used for insertion of an electrode lead or a mitral loop cerclage wire.
