Abstract: An apparatus for providing a notification of a login to a user account from a device includes an information analysis unit for determining whether the device is a new device, in response to a login request received from the device, and a login notification unit for providing a notification of a login from the new device using a preset notification method, based on results of determination by the information analysis unit. A login notification is provided when a user logs in via a new device other than devices usually used thereby, thus allowing the user to promptly cope with an illegal login so that the illegal use of the user's account can be prevented if an illegal login is performed.
