    Abstract: A multiviewable stereoscopic image display device and a method for driving the same are provided. The stereoscopic image display device includes: a display panel that displays a 2D image in the 2D mode and displays a 3D image in the 3D mode; a control unit that receives first to m-th image data (m is a natural number greater than 2), and in the 3D mode time-divides and sequentially outputs the left-eye image data of each of the first to m-th image data, and then time-divides and sequentially outputs the right-eye image data of each of the first to m-th image data; and first to m-th liquid crystal shutter glasses that open and close the left-eye shutter and the right-eye shutter in synchronization with each of the first to m-th liquid crystal shutter glass control signals generated from the control unit.
