    Abstract: A fast adaptive channel converting method and apparatus, and a computer readable recording medium having recorded thereon a program to execute the fast adaptive channel converting method. The fast adaptive channel converting method includes generating adjacent channel data by pre-signal processing an adjacent channel signal of a reference channel, receiving a channel change request from a user, searching for channel data corresponding to a changed channel in the adjacent channel data, and reproducing the searched channel data. Unlike a conventional technology, the fast adaptive channel changing apparatus and method prevents a screen blank time that may occur while changing a channel in a digital broadcast receiving apparatus, and thus boredom or inconvenience of a user can be removed. Also, when a channel is changed by using a preferred channel list, a channel search time can be remarkably reduced, and the user can easily watch a program of a preferred channel.

    Abstract: A method of preparing a supported catalyst includes dissolving a cation exchange polymer in alcohol to prepare a solution containing cation exchange polymer; mixing the cation exchange polymer containing solution with a catalytic metal precursor or a solution containing catalytic metal precursor; heating the mixture after adjusting its pH to a predetermined range; adding a reducing agent to the resultant and stirring the solution to reduce the catalytic metal precursor; mixing the resultant with a catalyst support; adding a precipitating agent to the resultant to form precipitates; and filtering and drying the precipitates. The method of preparing a supported catalyst can provide a highly dispersed supported catalyst containing catalytic metal particles with a reduced average size regardless of the type of catalyst support, which provides better catalytic activity than conventional catalysts at the same loading amount of catalytic metal.

    Abstract: A printed circuit board (PCB) has a multi-layered substrate including a plurality of signal lines and a ground voltage plate disposed below the signal lines and by which a common ground voltage is applied to the signal lines, a heat sink disposed on the multi-layered substrate, and thermal interface material interposed between the signal lines and the heat sink to transfer heat from the multi-layered substrate to the heat sink. The heat sink thus dissipates the heat generating from the multi-layered substrate and along with the ground voltage plate suppresses electromagnetic interference of signal transmitted through adjacent ones of the signal lines. The thermal interface material also serves in the design phase as a means to tune the impedance of the signal lines.

    Abstract: An organic/inorganic composite separator includes a porous substrate having a plurality of pores; and a porous coating layer formed on at least one surface of the porous substrate with a plurality of inorganic particles and a binder polymer. The binder polymer is a copolymer including: (a) a first monomer unit having a contact angle to a water drop in the range from 0° to 49°; and (b) a second monomer unit having a contact angle to a water drop in the range from 50° to 130°. This organic/inorganic composite separator has excellent thermal stability, so it may restrain an electric short circuit between a cathode and an anode. In addition, the separator may prevent inorganic particles in the porous coating layer from being extracted during an assembling process of an electrochemical device, thereby improving stability of an electrochemical device.
