  • Publication number: 20110216143
Abstract: This invention relates to a licensing identification and management system and a coding method of an anti-counterfeit label. One embodiment discloses utilizing a license code producing device to produce a license key and a royalty key, wherein the license key includes a license number and a license code, and the royalty key includes a royalty number and a royalty code. The method further includes separating and reassembling the license key and the royalty key to generate a bar code by a bar code generating device, and saving the bar code into an audit database. The method also includes utilizing a bar code printing device for generating an anti-counterfeit label according to the bar code and attaching the anti-counterfeit label to a product. Therefore, according to a comparison between that particular bar code and that stored in the audit database the product could be identified as a licensed product.

  • Publication number: 20070244826
Abstract: A method of managing and auditing intellectual property for judging whether relevant software is true or counterfeit by using a product activation unit to judge a pairing of a hardware number and a license and royalty number set. Moreover, when the same software is installed in different hardware systems, the product activation unit can automatically renew product number. Hence, the method avoids user's complain such as the user must access an Internet site or make a phone call for anew applying another product number. Moreover, the method allows searching and collection of information over the Internet via IP by an ISP. Therefore, it is not necessary to resort to legal avenues, such as a physical search of a property which gives counterfeit software users a chance to wipe hard drives before evidence has been collected, to enforce the copyright holder's rights on software that is being used without permission.

  • Publication number: 20070119925
Abstract: A burglarproof tag and a method for preventing tag data from being stolen are disclosed. The burglarproof tag includes a license number (Ln) corresponding to a license code (L code) and a royalty number (Rn) corresponding to a royalty code (R code) by way of a random code. Moreover, both the Ln and the Rn are disposed on a corresponding product. Whereby, after using an audit unit to read a tag with the L code and the R code, a user can directly use the audit unit to judge whether the tag corresponds to the L code and the R code that are stored in the audit unit, for identifying whether the corresponding product has been licensed and for preventing the L code and the R code from being stolen.

  • Publication number: 20070078776
Abstract: An authorization identification and management system includes a License Code/Royalty Code generating unit, an authorization code database and an audit unit. The License Code/Royalty Code generating unit is used to provide a plurality of sets of License Code generated according to different products of a right holder and a plurality of sets of Royalty Code generated according to different licensees. A set of License code is combined with a corresponding set of Royalty code for generating a set of single legal authorization code (License Code+Royalty Code) for arranging on a product. The audit unit is used to recognize the set of single legal authorization code arranged on the product and compare it with one downloaded from the authorization code database to judge whether the two sets are identical.

  • Publication number: 20070067246
Abstract: An authorization identification and management system includes a code-producing unit, a code database unit and an audit unit. The code-producing unit produces a plurality of sets of predetermined code to authorize a licensee. Each set of predetermined code is disposed on a corresponding product. The code database unit stores each set of the predetermined code that have been licensed to the licensee, so as to manage product quantities that have been licensed, and to calculate royalties that should be charged from the licensee. The audit unit judges whether the products are licensed by comparing each two sets of the predetermined code that have been respectively stored in the code database unit and have been disposed on the corresponding product. Whereby, the system does not merely make authorizing and authenticating genuine products more efficient, but it is also convenient for a right holder to calculate their total owed royalties.
