  • Patent number: 10702973
Abstract: A coolant flow guide for grinder includes a base including a tilted bottom wall having a predetermined tilt angle, a peripheral wall disposed around the tilted bottom wall and defining with the tilted bottom wall a diversion channel having a top opening and a partition wall located on the tilted bottom wall to divide the diversion channel into two flow passages that slope downwardly to the diversion port, and a workpiece positioning unit mounted on the base above the flow passages for holding a workpiece. Thus, when the grinder is operated to grind the workpiece, the debris thus produced is carried by the applied coolant to flow through the flow passages to the outside of the base via the diversion port.

  • Publication number: 20150209872
Abstract: An elastic chuck includes a base plate, an elastic plate and jaws. The base plate has a through hole running between upper and lower surfaces thereof. The elastic plate has a fixing ring fixed to the base plate, a pulling block that can move along a central axis of the through hole, and holders radially extending from the pulling block toward the fixing ring. Each of the holders has a top surface facing the upper surface of the base plate across a radial gap. The jaws are mounted at top surfaces of the holders, respectively. The pulling block of the elastic plate receives a pulling force along the central axis to drive the jaws to hold a workpiece firmly. The elastic chuck has a simple structure and limited parts, so its process of manufacturing and assembling are time-saving and cost saving, and the resultant structure is highly precise.

  • Publication number: 20070066182
Abstract: A grinding machine includes an automated control system, a machine base, a chuck device, and two grinding devices for grinding both of an internal diameter and an end surface of a workpiece automatedly. The machine base is provided with rails thereon. A chuck device has an independent power source and a rotary chuck. The chuck device is mounted on the rail of the machine base to be controlled by the automated control system for transverse movement along the rail. The grinding devices are mounted on the rails of the machine base to be controlled by the automated control system for longitudinal movement along the rails respectively, having an internal diameter grinding tool and an end surface grinding tool respectively for grinding the internal diameter and the end surface of the workpiece respectively.

  • Publication number: 20070066183
Abstract: A grinding machine includes a sensor for detecting the variation of the current of a motor thereof to determine the timing that a grinding assembly thereof touches a workpiece. An automated control system computes the grinding path of the grinding assembly according to the timing. Thus, all of the workpieces are cut the same even though the workpieces are held at different positions on the chuck.
