Abstract: Disclosed is a washing machine. The disclosed washing machine comprises: a cabinet having an opening; a water tank provided inside the cabinet and storing washing water; a washing tub provided inside the water tank in a rotatable manner and defining a washing space, the washing tub including a balancer that is provided at one side of the washing tub and includes a drain formed on at least a portion of the periphery thereof; and a separating plate mounted to the washing tub in a separable manner so as to selectively divide the washing space of the washing tub into a first washing space and a second washing space.
