  • Publication number: 20250227544
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and modules for link adaptation in a network system comprising an access point (AP) linked to one or more stations through one or more links. The stations generate a set of quality of service provisioning link adaptation (QPLA) parameters, which comprise a data rate requirement, a packet error rate (PER) requirement, and a performance preference. • Patent number: 12349132
Abstract: A method for an access point to schedule obtaining frames from stations connected thereto is provided. Real-time applications provide frames and frame due dates to the stations. The frames and their due dates are stored in respective buffers of the stations. Each station identifies the earliest due date of all its buffered frames and provides the earliest due date to the access point. The access point orders the due dates and schedules the stations according to the order of the due dates. The access point then communicates with the stations according to the schedule and obtains the frames. A WLAN system implementing the method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20250106690
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems are disclosed for collaborative link adaptation between an access point and stations of a wireless network. In embodiments of the present disclosure, the problem of optimizing network links may be distributed from the access point to the stations, which may each determine whether they should locally solve the problem of optimizing their respective link to the access point or should return the optimization problem to the access point. The access point may optimize the links to stations that do not solve the optimization problem themselves. Embodiments may evaluate the transmission performance and computational costs of each station and of the network in determining where optimization should be done.
