    Abstract: Recognition of ligands on myelinated axons by specific ?? T cells can induce demyelination. Among the ligands of interest are MHC molecules, including non-classical class I MHC molecules, which are shown to be expressed in cells of the oligodendrocyte lineage. These events provide a basis for initiating events of inflammatory demyelinating diseases.
