Abstract: The present disclosure provides a device for processing an image based on a vehicle velocity. The device includes: an image receiver configured to receive a raw image obtained from at least one camera installed in the vehicle; a velocity receiver configured to receive a velocity of the vehicle; an image extraction unit configured to extract a partial image corresponding to the received velocity from the raw image; and a display for displaying the extracted partial image. The device provides the driver with an image of the surrounding of the vehicle adapted to the driving situation without installing a driving unit such as a separate motor in the imaging unit. The device also provides different top view images according to the velocities of the vehicle, and provides top view images with less image distortion than conventional top view images.
