    Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for managing cell-by-cell demodulation timing of an asynchronous user equipment (UE) for demodulating multipath signals, received from a plurality of cells, in a plurality of fingers. Mapping information, indicating fingers mapped on a cell-by-cell basis, and demodulation information and demodulation timing information for the plurality of cells are acquired. The fingers are grouped on a cell-by-cell basis according to the mapping information. Demodulation information for an associated cell is provided to each of the grouped fingers. A signal received from the associated cell is demodulated in the grouped fingers by using the demodulation information for the associated cell.

The apparatus includes a column counter for increasing one column every four bits and outputting a position of a current column in response to received bit sequences; a state detector for outputting state information of the current column by means of an output value of the column counter, a parameter denoting a number of rows to which systematic bits have been assigned, and a parameter denoting a number of columns to which the systematic bits have been assigned; and address generators for generating write addresses required for performing a write operation and read addresses required for performing a read operation according to the state information output from the state detector.

    Abstract: A graphics system and a memory device for three-dimensional (3D) graphics acceleration, and a method for 3D graphics processing, are provided. In a memory device in a graphics system for 3D graphics processing, a memory structure includes a first memory area allocated to a texture buffer for storing texture data, and a second memory area allocated to a frame buffer for storing frame data in pixels. A comparator controls the memory structure to operate as the texture buffer if an input address to the memory structure indicates the first memory area and controls the memory structure to operate as the frame buffer if the input address indicates the second memory area. If the memory structure operates as the frame buffer, an ALU performs depth comparison or alpha-blending on input frame data and frame data read from the frame buffer.
