  • Patent number: 5505956
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a medicinal adhesive for percutaneous administration of a drug consisting of a support (backing layer), an adhesive layer comprising an oil-soluble drug, an adhesive resin, a penetration enhancer, a water-absorptive material and a lenitive agent, and a separate liner, charaterized in that the adhesive layer has a laminated structure having 2 to 5 layers and each layer has different water absorption capacities, and the drug is a oil-soluble, non-steroidal drug. For the adhesive of the present invention, the lowest layer which is to be contacted with the skin has the lowest water absorption capacity and the most upper layer in contact with the support has the highest water absorption capacity, or vice versa.

  • Patent number: 5495347
Abstract: A color contact image sensor is a device for sensing a character, a diagram, and a drawing on a colored document and transmitting a sensed signal. The color contact image sensor comprises a dot cell array composed of dot cells having sensing elements for sensing red, green and blue color components, so as to sense color information printed on a point of a document. Red, green and blue color component sensing signals generated by the dot cells are sequentially supplied to a signal outputting portion under the control of a driving portion, and the signal outputting portion converts the red, green and blue color component sensing signals into digital data.

  • Patent number: 5470769
Abstract: A process for the preparation of a thin film transistor is provided which includes sequentially depositing a gate insulating layer, an amorphous silicon layer, and an n+ amorphous silicon layer. The n+ amorphous silicon layer is disposed between source and drain electrodes and is oxidized by a plasma oxidation process so that switching properties, interface properties between the amorphous silicon layer and the n+ amorphous silicon layer and a production yield are enhanced, while the preparation steps of forming an etch stopper and removing the n+ amorphous silicon layer disposed between the source electrode and the drain electrode are reduced.

  • Patent number: 4712539
Abstract: Therapeutic devices for applying pressure to various muscles and other parts of the body having a plurality of disc-shaped rolling elements rotatably mounted on a shaft and disposed between nonrotating handles. In one embodiment, a symetrically curved rolling element centrally disposed between smaller disc-shaped rolling elements is configured to apply pressure to certain areas of the body.
