  • Patent number: 6644676
Abstract: A front wheel for a vehicle for children provides a wheel frame having a slot through which a crank extends. A locking plate is securely mounted to the crank to turn therewith. A switch member is attached to the wheel frame and includes a guide groove. When an end of a pin is in an end of the guide groove of the switch member, the other end of the pin is in a locking position engaged with a positioning notch of the locking plate, thereby allowing joint rotation of the wheel frame and the crank. When the end of the pin is in a second end of the guide groove of the switch member, the other end of the pin is in an unlocking position disengaged from the positioning notch of the locking plate, thereby allowing independent rotations of the crank and the wheel frame.

  • Publication number: 20030185652
Abstract: A fastener comprises a body having a first end for engaging with a first object. The body further includes a second end for engaging with a second object having an engaging hole. The second end of the body includes at least one resilient leg extending toward the first end of the body and spaced from the body. The resilient leg is pressable to allow the second end of the body to pass through the engaging hole of the second object. The second end of the body has a maximum width greater than a diameter of the engaging hole of the second object when the resilient leg is not pressed, thereby preventing disengagement of the second object from the second end of the body after assembly.

  • Patent number: 6612598
Abstract: A vehicle for children comprises a frame, a driving member rotatably mounted to a rear end of the frame, a rear steering rod, a driven member, and a belt. The frame comprises a head tube on a front end thereof. A handlebar stem extends through the head tube and is pivotable relative to the head tube. A handlebar is attached to an upper end of the handlebar stem to turn therewith. The rear steering rod includes a lower end attached to the driving member to turn therewith and an upper end for manual operation. The driven member is securely attached to the handlebar stem to turn therewith. The belt is mounted around the driving member and the driven member such that the driven member is turned when the driving member is turned as a result of turning of the rear steering bar.
