Abstract: An electrical generating device includes a higher gear and a lower gear rotatably mounted between a higher water tower and a lower water reservoir, a chain engaged with the gears and having a number of plates, the water tower includes an outlet tube directed to the plates for supplying the water to move the plates downwardly and to rotate the chain and the gears, an electric generator is coupled to the higher gear for being actuated to generate an electrical energy, and one or more ram water pumps are used for pumping the water from the water reservoir upwardly into the water tower without electrical energy, the higher gear is adjustable to different rotational speeds with an adjustable magnetic device.

Abstract: A battery management system for a battery pack comprising multiple battery modules is disclosed. Each of the battery modules includes multiple battery cells. The battery management system includes multiple first balancing units, multiple first controllers, a second balancing unit including multiple second balancing circuits, and a second controller coupled to the battery modules and the second balancing circuits. The first controllers are operable for controlling the first balancing units to adjust voltages of battery cells in the battery module if an unbalance occurs between the battery cells. The second controller is operable for controlling said second balancing circuits to adjust voltages of said battery modules if an unbalance occurs between battery modules.

Abstract: This invention discloses an adjusting apparatus for adjusting the brightness of an image including a plurality of pixels having a center pixel and an initial pixel. The adjusting apparatus includes a detecting module, a calculating module and a gain module. The detecting module receives the image and detects the brightness of each pixel of the image. The calculating module calculates the distance between each pixel and the center pixel according the distance between initial pixel and the center pixel. The gain module respectively adjusts the brightness of each pixel among the plural pixels according to the distance between each pixel and the center pixel of the image.

Abstract: A battery management system with synchronized data sampling for a battery pack including multiple battery cells is disclosed. The battery management system includes a plurality of local monitors coupled to a plurality of battery cells and operable for sampling status information for the battery cells. The battery management system further includes a central controller coupled to the local monitors and operable for broadcasting a sample command to the local monitor synchronously, wherein the local monitors start to sample the status information for the battery cells in response to the sample command.

Abstract: Approaches for recovering state data between boot sessions of an emulated operating system (OS). An OS is emulated on a host OS. In response to each memory acquire request from the emulated OS, an interface to the host OS returns a memory area for use by the emulated OS and stores allocation data associated with the memory area. The allocation data includes an address referencing the memory area and a boot sequence number that indicates a boot session of the emulated OS. While booting the second emulated OS to a current boot session, the stored allocation data is retrieved from the interface, and in response to the stored allocation data including a selected boot sequence number, data from the memory area referenced by the address in the allocation data is stored in retentive storage by the second OS.

The apparatus includes a determining module, a comparing module and an adjusting module. The determining module is to determine a block of background region BRi-1 in the (i?1)th frame. The comparing module, coupled to the determining module, is to compare the block of BRi-1 in the (i?1)th frame with the corresponding block in the ith frame so as to determine a jitter vector. The adjusting module, coupled to the comparing module, is to adjust the ith frame in accordance with the jitter vector to compensate for the jitter occurred in the ith frame.

Abstract: An apparatus for defective pixel detection and correction is provided. The apparatus comprises a defective pixel detection unit and a defective pixel correction unit. The defective pixel detection unit acquires a detection pixel and a plurality of neighboring pixels, and determines that the detection pixel is a defective pixel when a first condition and a second condition are satisfied, wherein the defective pixel is located in the center of a n×n block comprising the detection and neighboring pixels, the first condition describes that at most one neighboring pixel whose value differs from the value of the detection pixel within a predefined threshold is detected, and the second condition describes that all the neighboring pixels other than the detected neighboring pixel is smaller or larger than the value of the detection pixel. The defective pixel correction unit corrects a value of the defective pixel determined by the defective pixel detection unit.

Abstract: A power management system includes a battery pack having a battery controller and includes an adapter operable for charging the battery pack and powering a system load. The adapter generates a power recognition signal indicative of a maximum adapter power and receives a control signal. The battery controller in the battery pack receives the power recognition signal and generates the control signal to adjust an output power of the adapter according to a status of the battery pack and a status of the system load.

Abstract: A yarn debris removing apparatus for circular discoloration knitting machines provides compressed air through an air compressor. The compressed air is delivered to a negative pressure generator through a rotary connector that controls the flow direction of the compressed air so that a negative pressure suction nozzle forms a negative pressure to generate a suction force to suck yarn debris cut off on a circular discoloration knitting machine. The negative pressure generator is connected to a dust collection net on another end through a hose to collect and filter out the yarn debris to reproduce clean air. Through the rotary connector the dust collection net and the negative pressure generator can be rotated with the circular discoloration knitting machine. The suction nozzle of the negative pressure generator is directed towards the needles of the circular discoloration knitting machine where change of yarns takes place to suck the yarn debris.

Abstract: A memory management interface is provided to synchronize the operation of two disparate operating systems (OSes) that are executing on the same data processing platform. In one embodiment, the first operating system is a legacy OS of the type that is generally associated with an enterprise-level data processing system such as a mainframe. In contrast, the second OS is of a type designed to execute on commodity hardware such as personal computers. The first OS communicates with the second OS via a control logic interface to establish its execution environment, and to perform memory management functions. This interface supports a two-phase boot process that ensures that all memory allocated to the first OS can be released if an error occurs that affects operations of the first OS. This prevents the development of memory leaks.
