  • Patent number: 7484723
Abstract: A separation roller set comprises a shaft, a separation roller, a separation pad, an aligning roller, and an idle roller is provided in the present invention. The separation roller is fixed on the shaft with the separation pad leaning thereon. The separation roller is utilized to carry a sheet of paper moving through a gap between the separation roller and the separation pad. The aligning roller is located on the shaft with an idle roller leaning thereon. The leading edge of the sheet of paper leaving the gap is stopped and aligned by the aligning roller and the idle roller.

  • Publication number: 20080224381
Abstract: A paper feeder including a pickup roller, a separation roller, a separation pad, a pressing device, and a separation plate is provided. The separation roller is located downstream the pickup roller. The separation pad leaning on the separation roller has a curved separation portion. The pressing device has a spherical node. The separation plate has a cavity on a back thereof for allocating the spherical node, and it also has a V-shaped slit on a front thereof for pressing the separation pad on the separation roller. As the spherical node is pressed on the separation pad, the V-shaped slit is guided to parallel to the shaft of the separation roller so as to have the separation pad precisely assembled on the surface of the separation roller.

  • Patent number: 7225506
Abstract: A scanner uses a hinge to connect the cover and the scanner body. The scanner further comprises a brake apparatus and a force-dispersing mechanism. The brake apparatus interferes the lifting cover at a predetermined interfering angle for avoiding the cover to thump at the scanning surface. The force-dispersing mechanism is used to disperse a stress resulted from the cover is lifted to be over a predetermined safety angle with respect to the scanning surface of the scanner.

  • Patent number: 7210571
Abstract: A film conveying mechanism comprises a base, a belt capable of conveying the films, a spring plate, a fixing pin, and a stopper. The spring plate includes an opening on a second end and is longitudinally disposed with respect to the belt. The fixing pin is on the base and holds a first end of the spring plate. The stopper, which is narrower than the opening, protrudes through the opening and limits the movement of the second end of the spring plate in a first direction. The stopper restricts the lateral and longitudinal horizontal movement of the spring plate, allowing the spring plate some retraction or expansion space according to the amount of belt pressure. Using the stopper reduces film jams, makes the spring plate longer lasting, and keeps the film conveying mechanism running efficiently regardless of possible wear and tear or minor manufacturing defects in the spring plate.
