  • Publication number: 20220330871
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrode, which is an in vivo insertable electrode, including a substrate, an electrically conductive layer formed on the substrate, a platinum black layer formed on the electrically conductive layer, a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) formed on the platinum black layer, and a lubricant layer formed on the SAM, a method of manufacturing the electrode, and a medical device including the electrode. The in vivo insertable electrode according to the present invention provides excellent electrical properties such as low impedance. Further, it shows that friction with tissue occurring when the electrode is inserted is reduced, and trauma during insertion and an immune rejection response after insertion is suppressed. Further, in the long term, it is possible to detect signals with high sensitivity throughout the entire period by preventing bioadhesion of in vivo cells, such as immune cells, and other proteins.

  • Publication number: 20200326457
Abstract: Provided is a lens for a medical device. The lens includes a microstructural layer on a surface of the lens, and a coating layer on the microstructural layer. The coating layer is made of a self-assembled monolayer (SAM). Also provided is a method of manufacturing a lens for a medical device. The method includes forming a microstructural layer on a surface of the lens; and forming a coating layer on the surface on which the microstructure is formed. The coating layer is made of a self-assembled monolayer (SAM).

  • Patent number: 9975117
Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and method for controlling a droplet. The apparatus for controlling the droplet does not contaminate/damage a sample, has a high degree of freedom in droplet control, and is capable of being repeatedly used for a long time. An apparatus (100) for controlling a droplet according to an embodiment includes a flexible substrate (120) having a hydrophobic or oleophobic surface, a dimple formation unit (140), which locally deforms a bottom surface of the flexible substrate (120) to form a dimple, and a driving unit (160), which moves the dimple formation unit (140) at a lower side of the flexible substrate.
