  • Patent number: 10738855
Abstract: A bumper stopper installed on the shock absorber of a vehicle to respond to the impact of a cylinder lifting or lowering in the vertical direction depending on the running state of the vehicle. The bumper stopper is constructed such that a cylindrical dust cover having an opening formed at the lower end thereof is connected to a buffer member formed of peaks and troughs. The buffer member has a through hole through which a cylinder and rod of a shock absorber passes via a connection plate so that the buffer member and the dust cover are integrated with each other. It prevents air from being compressed inside the buffer member, thereby preventing component damage due to high pressure. Also, it prevents abnormal noise from occurring in the process of contact and separation between the cylinder and the connection plate, thereby providing improved ride comfort.

  • Patent number: 10519379
Abstract: Techniques are described for producing a bitumen product and recovering solvent from a solvent-diluted heavy hydrocarbon stream, which can have configurations and operation of an indirect heat exchanger to enhance performance. The system can have three solvent recovery stages. The indirect heat exchanger can have a location and operation to mitigate risks associated with exchanger failures. The solvent-diluted hydrocarbon stream can be preheated with a downstream solvent-depleted stream, and the pressure of the latter can be higher than that of the former to avoid solvent leaking into the hydrocarbon-enriched stream. The heat exchanger can be located in between the second and third stages, so that solvent leaked into the second stage output can be removed in the third stage so that the final product hydrocarbon stream can remain at low solvent contents.

  • Publication number: 20180168134
Abstract: A transgenic mouse expressing inactivated human iduronate-2-sulphatase (IDS) and a method for improving agents for treating Hunter syndrome using the transgenic mouse are provided. The transgenic mouse expressing the inactivated human IDS, which has immune tolerance to IDS, does not cause an immune response to IDS which is an active component of the agents for treating Hunter syndrome, and thus the transgenic mouse may be effectively used to identify immunogenic factors other than the immunogenicity of the protein components of the agents.

  • Patent number: 5985609
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel process for preparing hepatitis C virus (HCV) envelope glycoproteins employing Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells transformed with recombinant expression vectors containing the hepatitis C virus genome. The present invention provides CHO cells cotransfected with DHFR (dihydrofolate reductase) minigene pDCHIP and recombinant expression vectors containing cDNAs of HCV E1 and E2/NS1 ligated with tissue plasminogen activator signal sequence. HCV E1 and E2/NS1 envelope glycoproteins are produced in a massive manner from the transformed CHO cells adapted in methotrexate. The HCV envelope glycoproteins produced by the present invention can be applied to the development of a diagnostic reagent and a potential preventive HCV vaccine.
