Abstract: Provided are an apparatus for and method of displaying set driver options. The apparatus includes a selection unit that selects driver options to be displayed; a storage unit that stores the selected driver options; a control unit that sets the stored driver options and stores the set driver options in the storage unit; and a display unit that displays the set driver options. Since set driver options are displayed on a user interface of a printer driver or in a description field of a printer environment setting window, there is no need to open the user interface to view option values set in the printer driver when performing printing operations.

Abstract: A driver configuring a user interface, a user interface apparatus and a method thereof. The method of configuring a user interface which provides a main window having at least one main menu and a popup window linked to each of the main menus and having at least one submenu includes: adding a submenu into a main window as the main menu when an option of adding is selected; deleting a selected submenu included in the main window as a main menu from the main window when an operation of deleting is selected; and restoring a current configuration of the main menu and the submenu to an initial configuration when an option of restoring is selected.

Abstract: A device and method of serving software to a host device through a peripheral device, and/or a peripheral device to serve software to a host device. The software-serving method may include obtaining and storing host device software information, and/or host device installation software information, comparing information on the stored host device software to the stored host device installation software information, and determining whether to update the host device installation software. The software-serving method may also include sending the stored host device software to the host device if it is determined that the host device installation software needs to be updated. Thus, the method may serve updated host device software to any of a plurality of host devices, so the host device installation software may be more conveniently updated.

Abstract: An auto version managing system for software including a search module for searching at least one folder and file structure in the software and for indexing the folder and file, a version managing database (DB) for storing software version information including at least one of a software version, file properties, checksum, and version history, and a checksum calculation part for calculating a checksum of the folder and the file. The system further includes a checksum comparison part for comparing the checksums of the software of an old version that are stored in the version managing DB with the checksums of an upgraded software, and then extracting one of the changed folder(s) and file(s). The system still further includes a DB generation part for storing information about the extracted folder or file in the version managing DB, such that a DB of the software version history can then be automatically generated.

Abstract: A module management device and module management system and method using the same to manage a module mounted in a terminal in which a browser is installed, include a detection unit to detect an operation state of the module, a file creation unit to create an information file including the specification information and the operation state of the module, a file storage unit to store the created information file, and a control unit to control the detection unit to detect the operation state according to the specification information, and to connect the browser to a web server providing a web site relating to the module if the detection unit detects a malfunction state of the module, to control the browser to automatically transfer to the web server the information file stored in the file storage unit if there is a request from the web server, and to control the web server to receive a web page based on the information file.

Abstract: A scanning apparatus and a method thereof include a scanning unit scanning a document and outputting a scanned result, at least one external storage unit detachably attached to the apparatus, at least one internal storage unit, and a controller detecting an attachment state of the external storage unit and storing the scanned result in one of the external storage unit and the internal storage unit according to the attachment state of the external storage unit. The scanning unit of the scanning apparatus is combined with a user scanning unit and a user printing unit into a combination apparatus, and the scanned result is printed in a printing apparatus spaced-apart from the scanning apparatus by a distance, thereby removing cables between the scanning or printing apparatus and a personal computer.
