  • Patent number: 8669581
Abstract: Provided is a light emitting device package, which includes a ceramic body, an ultraviolet light emitting diode, a support member, and a glass film. The ceramic body defines a cavity. The ultraviolet light emitting diode is disposed within the cavity. The support member is disposed on the body, and surrounds the cavity. The glass film is coupled to the support member, and covers the cavity. Since the light emitting device package includes the ceramic body to efficiently dissipate heat, and the glass film is directly attached to the ceramic body to decrease the number of components, thereby simplifying the manufacturing process thereof, and reducing the manufacturing costs thereof.

  • Patent number: 7283482
Abstract: A reverse data transmission apparatus and method in a mobile communication system. A mobile station receives information about an MADR (Maximum Allowable Data Rate) from a base station in a first predetermined frame period, determines a data rate equal to or lower than the MADR, and requests the determined data rate to the base station. If an MADR received from the base station in a second frame period following the first frame period is higher than the requested data rate, the mobile station starts data transmission. Then, the mobile station measures a traffic to pilot ratio (T/P) from the base station and controls the data rate according to the T/P during data transmission.

  • Patent number: 7269145
Abstract: A mobile station in a control hold mode wakes up at a time slot on a wake-up channel received from a base station, assigned thereto, and detects at least one predetermined indicator bit. If the detected indicator bit indicates that the base station has data to transmit, the mobile station starts monitoring a forward packet data control channel from the base station, in order to determine whether to make a transition to an active mode. Otherwise, if the detected indicator bit indicates that the base station has no data to transmit, the mobile station maintains the control hold mode, thus preventing unnecessary power consumption.

  • Publication number: 20040081111
Abstract: In a high-speed wireless packet data communication system, a simplex broadcasting service method sequentially assigns and releases a forward traffic channel and a reverse traffic channel for receiving information necessary for a PPP connection and a broadcasting service in order to receive a broadcasting service. In addition, transmission order of unicast data packets and broadcast data packets is determined in a physical layer in order to efficiently provide a unicast service and a broadcasting service. The method prevents a waste of wireless resources and power consumption of an access terminal by minimizing reservation of wireless resources and transmission of unnecessary information, thereby contributing to improvement of system performance.

  • Publication number: 20030125037
Abstract: A method of controlling reverse data transmission in a mobile communication system is disclosed. At a reverse data channel setup, an MS and a BS negotiate a reverse data rate and a transmission duration. After the reverse data channel is established, whether to permit reverse data transmission or not is determined periodically. Therefore, overhead in the MS and the BS is reduced and reverse transmission throughput is increased. The MS reports the amount of transmission data and its forward channel state to the BS periodically or non-periodically. Based on the information, the BS then controls reverse data rates individually. During data transmission, if the BS determines to change a data rate, it notifies a corresponding MS of the changed data rate. Thus, reverse data transmission is controlled adaptively according to a variable channel environment.
