Abstract: Provided is a method of purifying a vancomycin from a fermentation broth of a microorganism containing vancomycin, including passing the fermentation broth of a microorganism containing vancomycin through a strong acid cation exchange resin, a weak base anion exchange resin, alumina and a hydrophobic absorbent resin sequentially.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal including a country code storing section for storing country codes and area codes for every country and international access codes. A control section displays the country codes, area codes, and international access codes stored in the country code storing section when a user enters a command for searching for a country code, generates a telephone number input window for inputting and sequentially displaying an international access code, a country code, and an area code, as selected by the user. The user then inputs a telephone number.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal is provided with a UV sensor for sensing UV rays and generates an electric signal in proportion to the amount of sensed UV rays. The terminal includes a memory for storing UV information according to a UV index, and a control unit for detecting a UV index from the electric signal from the UV sensor and reading UV information in response to the detected UV index to inform a user.

Abstract: Provided is a Streptomyces sp. CJPV 975652 (KCCM-10497) capable of converting compactin to pravastatin and a method for producing pravastatin using a strain of Streptomyces sp. CJPV 975652 (KCCM-10497), which includes: culturing the strain of Streptomyces sp. CJPV 975652 (KCCM-10497) in a compactin-containing medium; and recovering pravastatin from the culture.

Abstract: Novel antifungal antibiotics Cepacidine A (A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 ),a novel microorganism Pseudomonas cepacia AF 2001 producing the same, and a process for producing the said antibiotics are disclosed.
