  • Patent number: 7489323
Abstract: A display apparatus adapted for a display wall, an image adjustment method therefor and a display wall therewith are provided. The image between display apparatuses of the display wall is not exactly displayed, especially for adjacent areas between every two neighbored display apparatuses, and the displayed image is required to be adjusted for the defects. The image adjustment method includes receiving a video signal and then setting an initial image capture area in a scaler of each of display apparatuses in the display wall for selecting and scaling a part of the video image and transmitting the part to a digital display element of the display apparatus for display. Then based on the whole image displayed on the display wall by combining the image displayed on each of the display apparatuses, sequentially adjusts the image displayed by each of the display apparatuses. While adjusting the size of the image, one side of an image capture area is fixed and the length of the image capture area is adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20070146544
Abstract: An AV apparatus for showing a volume adjustment and a method therefor are provided. When the AV apparatus enters a screen-off mode, the AV apparatus determines whether a volume is adjustable in response to a volume adjustment signal. If yes, the volume is controlled for adjustment and a first indicatory signal is generated for visually displaying the adjustment. If not, a second indicatory signal is generated for visually displaying the inability of adjustment.

  • Publication number: 20070097326
Abstract: A method for adjusting a displayed image of a digital rear-projection display apparatus and a digital rear-projection display apparatus are disclosed. The method for adjusting the displayed image comprises adjusting the size of the image displayed on the digital display panel for a desired display area on the digital display panel, which is smaller than the original display area on the digital display panel, wherein the image is entirely displayed on a fixed screen after projection. The digital rear-projection display apparatus comprises a fixed screen and an image projection display module. The image projection display module including a digital display panel scales and projects the image displayed on the digital display panel to the fixed screen, wherein the digital rear-projection display apparatus further comprises an input interface for adjusting the image displayed on the digital display panel.

  • Publication number: 20070091279
Abstract: A projection display apparatus and method of preventing from inadvertently inputting command thereof are provided for preventing users from inadvertently inputting the command to shut down a discharge lamp of the projection display apparatus. The method comprises the following steps: preparing to enter a determination mode when a projection display apparatus receives a activation signal; displaying the predetermined delay time on a screen of the projection display apparatus and down counting such delay time; determining whether a confirmation signal is received during the delay time; and shutting down the discharge lamp when the project display apparatus receives the confirmation signal. If the projection display apparatus fails to receive the confirmation signal or receive other signals during the delay time, the projection display apparatus will return to the normal display mode.

  • Publication number: 20070065800
Abstract: A display apparatus and a video wall having the same and, more particularly, a display apparatus using a differential digital signal transmitted to a display apparatus in a next stage for display are provided. The display apparatus and the video wall provide a data enable signal, which is required by the differential digital signal transmission, to solve the problem of being unable to provide the data enable signal for most of the conventional A/D converters employed for the video display applications. Only one scaler instead of two scalers is used to solve the moving picture artifact due to delay. A de-interlacer is used to improve the display quality and to maintain a color space of the transmitted video signal in an RGB format.

  • Patent number: 7170520
Abstract: A display for sharing the display data channel is provided. The display shares the display data channel and thus the preexisting display data channel can be used as the interface for RS232 or I2C communication for performing the ISP or adjustment of the firmware. Hence, it can simplify the manufacturing tools, enhance the manufacturing efficiency, and allow the users to update the firmware by themselves.

  • Publication number: 20060284860
Abstract: A display device includes a driving unit and a processing unit. If the driving unit operates abnormally during a power-on period, the processing unit generates a control signal according to a driving signal outputted by the driving unit. In response to the control signal, the driving unit is reset and then re-outputs the driving signal. A method for recovering from abnormal power-on therefor includes generating two signals, wherein one signal is adapted for re-activating a light source and the other is adapted for resetting the driving unit so that the driving unit may re-output the driving signal.

  • Publication number: 20050114889
Abstract: A method for searching television channel is provided. An initial frequency and a frequency search interval are set. Thereafter, using the initial frequency as the starting point, television signals are scanned to find any television channel within a designated frequency bandwidth. The channel ID is resolved from the channel frequency based on a specific broadcasting system on each detecting of the channel signals. The channel frequency and frequency ID of any television channel thus found are also stored. In this invention, the television channel is searched by frequency instead of a channel table as in a conventional method.

  • Publication number: 20040227858
Abstract: One preferred embodiment of the present invention provides a phase adjusting method of an A/D video signal conversion. A plurality of phase references is applied to convert a number of analog video frames to a number of digital video frames. For each phase reference, an absolute display difference is obtained by adding up absolute differences between corresponding pixels that are at positions in the digital video frames. A target phase reference that produces a smallest absolute display difference is applied to convert a follow-up analog video frame, and a stable high quality digital display is obtained.
