    Abstract: A vacuum cleaner is disclosed. The vacuum cleaner according to embodiments of the present disclosure includes a main body and a suction nozzle. The suction nozzle includes a housing, a button, a rotating brush, and a detachable cover. The housing includes an insertion hole. The button includes a first protrusion. The detachable cover includes a cover body and a slider. The cover body includes an insertion member, a second protrusion, and a rail. The rotating brush is rotatably mounted to the slider. The slider is mounted on the rail so as to be movable in a first direction. The insertion member is inserted into the insertion hole in the first direction. As the button is moved, the first protrusion is selectively positioned in a movement path in the first direction of the second protrusion.

The housing includes an entrance through which the dust travels to the main body, a first shaft member, and a first rib disposed along a circumference of the first shaft member. The rotating brush includes a cylindrical body rotated by the first shaft member. The rotating brush also includes a brush member attached to an outer surface of the cylindrical body. The brush member rubs against the floor to direct the dust on the floor towards the entrance. As the brush member rotates, it also comes into contact with the first rib. The brush member includes a plurality of filaments. Some of the filaments are elastically deformed in the direction of the rotation axis upon contacting the first rib.

The dust collection assembly includes a dust collecting box, a filter, a flow guide unit, an exhaust guider, and an upper cover. The dust collecting box and the flow guide unit are integrally formed in a single body. The dust collecting box includes a first and second dust collecting spaces for collecting foreign objects. The filter is disposed in the inside of the dust collecting space to primarily filter foreign objects during operation of a cyclone. The flow guide unit guides airflow and has small cyclones integrally formed therein, for secondarily filtering the foreign objects in air. The exhaust guider guides airflow and has a plurality of discharge holes through which air filtered by the small cyclone flows. The upper cover is disposed on the upper side of the exhaust guider.
