The inverter includes first, second and third heat sinks to absorb heat within the inverter. The first, second, and third heat sinks including fluid passages therein to allow cooling fluid to pass through each of the heat sinks in parallel, wherein a controller controls the flow of the cooling fluid through each of the first, second and third heat sinks. Temperature sensors associated with each of the heat sinks allows the controller to control the flow of the cooling fluid to the corresponding heat sink.
