Abstract: A system and method for exchanging secure information between Secure Removable Media (SRM) devices. An initialization operation is performed between the SRM devices. After a mutual authentication operation is performed between the SRM devices, a secret key is exchanged for secure information exchange. An installation setup operation is then performed to establish an environment for moving rights between the SRM devices, and the rights information can be directly exchanged between the SRM devices by performing a rights installation operation between the SRM devices.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining contents information corresponding to a Rights Object (RO) by transmitting information on contents together when the RO is moved from a mobile device to a memory card or a smart card or when the RO is moved from the memory card or the smart card to the mobile device are provided. The apparatus includes a meta information manager for determining information on contents corresponding to the RO when the RO is moved, and for generating meta information containing the determined contents information, and a controller for providing control to transmit the RO and the meta information generated by the meta information manager to a portable storage device. Accordingly, the conventional problem can be solved in which information on contents cannot be determined by using a Contents IDentifier (CID) if the RO does not exist together with the contents.

The system includes a first node for generating a first encryption key using a plurality of encryption key parameters when performing authentication with a second node, for changing a second parameter among the plurality of encryption key parameters to generate a second encryption key being identical to the first encryption key, if a first parameter among the plurality of encryption key parameters is changed during re-authentication between the first node and the second node, for generating the second encryption key using the changed first parameter and the changed second parameter, and for encrypting data to be transmitted to the second node using the second encryption key.

An operation of the MS includes performing an initial BR to allocate resources across a plurality of frames. When a resource is allocated according to the initial BR, an adaptive BR is performed on the resource in a piggyback manner by using the resource while transmitting an acknowledge (ACK) message corresponding downlink Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) data.

A controller controls the modules and the units.

Abstract: A method is provided in which a broadcast provider can flexibly change and provide an image configuration of a digital video broadcasting-handheld (DVB-H) reception terminal. Information required to configure a broadcast service image is provided to the DVB-H reception terminal using Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) midlet. A J2ME midlet file indicating image configuration information can be transmitted in at least one session in which electronic service guide (ESG) data is carried. The DVB-H reception terminal can display images based on broadcast service characteristics. Broadcast providers can configure and provide a differentiated broadcast service image, respectively.

Abstract: A system and method for providing information about currently broadcast content at a broadcasting server. A multimedia broadcasting system includes a broadcasting server for broadcasting a packet including a broadcasting content ID corresponding to currently broadcast broadcasting content for each broadcasting channel and a broadcasting reception terminal for receiving a packet through a broadcasting channel upon selection of the broadcasting channel and checking content information corresponding to a content ID included in the received packet using previously stored broadcasting schedule information in order to check received broadcasting content.
