  • Patent number: 7467786
Abstract: Disclosed is a nebulizer mounted to an ultrasonic humidifier. In the nebulizer, a heat sink holder can be directly connected to one side of a bottom plate in the humidifier, by using a flange provided at the upper end portion of the heat sink holder to which a heat sink for irradiating the heat generated in a PCB outward is mounted. Further, a vibrator assembled with the heat sink can be easily separated and replaced, because the heat sink is stacked on and assembled with the heat sink holder. Furthermore, the size of the ultrasonic humidifier is reduced, because a water level sensor is assembled and integrated with the upper surface of the heat sink. Furthermore, the durability of a vibrator as well as the heat sink is improved, because the heat sink is made of brass coated with a nickel plating layer.

  • Publication number: 20060147766
Abstract: A fuel cell battery, comprising a chamber unit (1), an anode entrance (2) connected to the chamber unit (1), an anode exit (3), a cathode entrance (4) and a cathode exit (5). The anode entrance (2) is connected to a hydrogen source (11) and an organic fuel source (12) respectively through a hydrogen duct (9) and an organic fuel duct (10). Duct (9) and duct (10) are respectively installed with a hydrogen valve (13) and an organic fuel valve (14). An exit valve (20) is installed at the anode exit. This fuel cell battery combines the advantages provided by hydrogen fuel and organic fuel. The fuel cell battery can meet the dual requirements of operating on both high and low power. The fuel cell battery's design leads to low manufacturing costs, a simple structure, and easy implementation.

  • Publication number: 20060135702
Abstract: The present invention relates to a proton exchange membrane having a polymer comprising of a main chain and a branch chain connected to said main chain wherein the chemical formula for said branch chain is and where n is an integer. Said main chain is a polymer selected from the group that includes: aliphatic polymers, aliphatic block polymers, and aliphatic random copolymers. The fabrication method for said polymers comprises the steps of: reacting a polymer having a benzene ring in its branch chain with a sulfo-alkylated chemical reagent and a catalyst in an anhydrous solvent in an inert atmosphere; separating the resulting sulfo-alkylated polymer; and acidifying to obtain said fabricated polymer. Proton exchange membranes made with these polymers are pliant, do not expand much during wet conditions, and, are chemically, hydrolytically, dimensionally and thermally stable.

  • Publication number: 20040211172
Abstract: This invention discloses of a muffler and catalytic converter device, and in addition, a muffler, and a catalytic converter, wherein each type of device uses a porous metal that may function as the sound absorption material for the muffler part of the device, and the substrate for the catalyst coating for the catalytic converter part of the device. In order to be effectiveness as a substrate and to have good sound absorption, the porous metal has a pore density of between 80% and 98% and a pore diameter of between 20 &mgr;m and 1200 &mgr;m. The porous metal provides structural strength, and is resistant to corrosion, heat, and impact from exhaust flow. It is also easy and cheap to fabricate. For the muffler and catalytic converter device, by combining the customary two devices into one, the cost of production as well as the cost of installation for the device is lowered.

  • Publication number: 20030011324
Abstract: An ornamental plasma display having a conical bulb with an upper end and a lower end, the bulb tapering from the lower end to the upper end, and the bulb further having an outer bulb portion and an inner bulb portion hermetically connected with said outer bulb portion thereby creating a hermetically sealed chamber. The hermetically sealed chamber has a discharging gas which causes illuminating arcs of plasma upon an electrical discharge occurring therethrough. The plasma display further has a conductor disposed within the inner bulb portion, and a control circuit for selectively providing electricity of varying voltage and frequency to the conductor. The control circuit alters the electricity to the conductor upon a ground being placed to the outer wall of the outer bulb portion.
