  • Patent number: 9180364
Abstract: A primary game controller for use by a mobility impaired person by interfacing with a peripheral controller that allows the user to input precise movements needed for certain game functions. The peripheral controller may be operated by a part of a user's body in which the user has sufficient motor control, while the primary game controller may provide control inputs that require lesser motor control to operate. A control unit on the game controller may transmit control signals from the game controller and the peripheral controller, or may exclusively use the peripheral controller as the input for certain game functions. The game controller may be sized to be able to rest on a user's lap and to provide bigger control inputs.

  • Patent number: 7720483
Abstract: A sub-channel assignment apparatus and method of minimizing interference caused by sub-channel frequency overlaps when assigning sub-channels for sectors of a base station in an OFDMA system of a FDMA type. The apparatus includes: a plurality of sector channel management parts that assign at least one channel having assignable channel indexes in response to requests from users in a sector managed by the sector channel management part, and report sector load information regarding the total number of the requests from the users in the sector; and a channel assignment scheduler for using the sector load information reported from each channel management part to calculate the number of assignable channels per class for each of the sectors, and determines the assignable channel indexes per class for each of the sectors according to the number of assignable channels, and forwards the assignable channel indexes to each of the sector channel management parts.

  • Patent number: 7035662
Abstract: A method and apparatus can manage power in a mobile communication system according to a call setup in a user equipment. The method can include setting a radio link in response to a setup command, receiving a radio access bearer allocation request command to reset a down link power range, and performing a radio link reconfiguration with the base station; transmitting a down link power measurement request command to adjust the down link power range in response to a down link power measurement result; reconfiguring a radio link in response to the adjusted down link power range. The transmitting and reconfiguring can be repeatedly performed for user equipment. Accordingly, an excessive down link power allocation to a specific subscriber and an abrupt variation of a total down link power can be reduced, and a number of subscribers, who respective cells can accommodate by a call starting control, can be increased.
