  • Patent number: 12620906
Abstract: A control method is disclosed to generate a control signal in a power supply with a synchronous rectifier. The control signal turns ON the synchronous rectifier to provide a channel approximately short-circuited if the control signal is greater than a threshold voltage, and turns OFF the synchronous rectifier to turn the channel into an open circuit if the control signal is between the threshold voltage and a ground reference voltage. A detection signal is generated based on one end of the channel, and compared with a predetermined level higher than the ground reference voltage. An excitation time is a period when the detection signal exceeds the predetermined level. When the excitation time exceeds a preset time, the control signal is precharged to a sub-threshold voltage between the threshold voltage and the ground reference voltage.

  • Publication number: 20260025079
Abstract: A synchronous rectification controller controls a synchronous rectifier with a control node and a detection node. The synchronous rectification controller comprises an ON-time recorder and a differential driver. The ON-time recorder records a previous ON-time in response to a detected voltage at the detection node, and determines first and second regulation periods in an ON time of the synchronous rectifier based on the previous ON-time. The first regulation period occurs prior to the second regulation period. The differential driver drives the control node to regulate the detected voltage to first and second target voltages during the first and second regulation periods, respectively. The first and second target voltages are different from each other.

  • Patent number: 12126268
Abstract: An operation power source for an operation power source supplying power to a synchronous rectifier controller is charged according to the invention. The synchronous rectifier controller controls a synchronous rectifier in response to a channel signal of the synchronous rectifier, generating SR ON times and SR OFF times. It is determined whether the channel signal resonates in a first SR OFF time, to provide an oscillation record accordingly. In a second SR OFF time after the first SR OFF time, in response to the oscillation record, a portion of resonance energy that causes the channel signal resonating is directed to charge the operation power source.

  • Patent number: 11791737
Abstract: The invention discloses a control method in use of a synchronous rectifier controller, controlling a synchronous rectifier in a power supply supplying power a load. The synchronous rectifier is turned ON in response to a terminal signal of the synchronous rectifier. An ON-time of the synchronous rectifier is made not less than a minimum ON-time. A detection result in association with the load is provided, for determining the minimum ON-time. The minimum ON-time is a first period when the detection result indicates the load as a first load, and a second period, shorter than the first period, when the detection result indicates the load as a second load heavier than the first load.
