    Abstract: Hybrid separators and lithium secondary batteries including the hybrid separators are disclosed. In an embodiment, a lithium secondary battery includes a negative electrode, a positive electrode, a separator disposed between the negative electrode and the positive electrode, and a liquid electrolyte, wherein the separator is a hybrid separator including a porous substrate and a lithium ion conductive flexible polymer layer disposed on at least one surface of the porous substrate, and a lithium ionic conductivity of the hybrid separator is 10?4 to 10?2 S/cm. The hybrid separator that includes the flexible polymer layer based on some embodiments of the disclosed technology can improve the mechanical strength of the separator and significantly reduce the formation of lithium dendrites during charging and discharging cycles.

More specifically, a hybrid separator of a new concept including a functional coating layer formed in a solid state at room temperature is provided, in which when an electrode and the hybrid separator facing each other are heated in order to manufacture a battery, the functional coating layer in a solid state applied on both surfaces of the separator is melted and mixed to satisfy specific content ratio conditions, so that phase transformation into a liquid or gel state is allowed.

The ASA graft copolymer resin is manufactured by the steps of manufacturing the multi-core rubber polymer latex by sequentially polymerizing the alkyl acrylate monomers; and forming a shell layer by graft-polymerizing the styrene-based monomer and the acrylonitrile-based monomer with the multi-core rubber polymer. The ASA resin composition according to the present invention has excellent impact resistance, weather resistance, and dyeability properties.
