    Abstract: A method for switching access points of a wireless network via sharing communications is disclosed. A host computer and a client computer are connected to a first wireless network by a first communication system. The host computer determines a communication quality to the first wireless network. If the communication quality falls below a predetermined value, the host computer connects to a second wireless network to shift to a sharing communication mode to connect the client computer to the second wireless network. The host computer that has shifted to the sharing communication mode then connects to the client computer by a second communication system to connect the client to the second wireless network.

    Abstract: A method for switching connections between an IP-only phone and a soft phone to an IP gateway server is disclosed. An identical telephone number is allocated to the IP-only phone and the soft phone. When the soft phone has been moved such that a connection destination to a local-area network changes from a first connector to a second connector, a relay device is also changed from a first relay device to a second relay device. After recognizing its present position by a MAC address of the relay device to which it is currently connected, the soft phone issues a request to an IP gateway server to change an IP address to the soft phone when it is determined that the soft phone is located far away from the IP-only phone. When it is determined that the soft phone is located near the IP-only phone, the soft phone issues a request to the IP gateway server so that the IP address is changed to the IP-only phone.

Furthermore, status of a validity period and the like, when the wireless communications are set by use of the profile, are monitored by a status monitoring processing unit. When it is judged necessary to update the profile based on the monitored status, a profile including an update request is created by a data update processing unit, and the created profile is sent out to the administrator's PC.
