  • Patent number: 5581759
Abstract: A process controlling method and apparatus which uses a flowchart language program and ladder programs with an intermediate register accessible using the same name by both the flowchart language program and the ladder programs. Each ladder program defines the operation of a machine, including an interlock condition of the machine operation. The flowchart language program defines an automatic operation flow which sequentially activates the ladder programs using the data in the intermediate register. This arrangement allows the flowchart language program to be separated from the ladder programs improving productivity, serviceability and security of the programs.

  • Patent number: 5219167
Abstract: The present invention relates to a stop control device of a slot gaming machine used for controlling the stop-action of rotary units such as reels in a rotary gaming machine. In the rotary gaming machine, a table for allocating voluntary time length data to each symbol on such rotary units is stored in a memory. It is possible to appoint symbols one by one by operating a symbol appointing circuit and to renew appointed symbols by operating the symbol appointing circuit at each time when the counted values coincide with time length data in the time allocating table. Thus, control is made so that the symbols appointed by the appointing circuit stop at a defined stop line. Under such configuration, any voluntary change of the probability of appearance for a certain combination mode of each symbol can be simply performed by merely changing the contents of the time-allocating table stored in the memory.

  • Patent number: 5169147
Abstract: The present invention relates to a stop-control device of a rotary gaming machine used for controlling the stop action of a rotor such as a reel in a rotary gaming machine such as a slot machine. In the rotary gaming machine, a table for allocating the symbol combination mode of the rotors against the combination of codes is stored in memory means. When starting the game, after generating a plurality of any codes from code generating means, stop-control means specifies the symbol combination mode corresponding to the combination of codes generated by the code generating means referring to the memory means, and allocates the symbols to respective rotors which are stopped at a predetermined position.

  • Patent number: 5154421
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and its apparatus for controlling stop action of the rotary units in a rotary type gaming machine such as a slot machine. According to the method and the apparatus of the present invention, the appearance rate of each symbol of the reel at the stop position can be controlled at will by allotting a voluntarily set weighting to each symbol shown on the rotary unit prior to the execution of a game, and during the game, it can make appear and stop either one of the symbols at the aforementioned stop position with an appearance rate corresponding to the allotted weighting. By means of this, it is made possible to change the payout rate with an extremely simple work.

  • Patent number: 5046735
Abstract: The present invention relates to a symbol assorting gaming machine for playing a poker game on a display screen, in which when playing the symbol assorting game by holding one or more symbols among a predetermined number of symbols displayed and replacing the rest with the other symbols, an optimum holding object is calculated in response to the probability calculation so as to be instructed to the player, thereby an interest of the game is stimulated not only for a proficient but also for a beginner, and the game can be mastered in a short time.

  • Patent number: 4560161
Abstract: The present invention relates to a card game machine wherein a game player plays a card game such as poker or the like on a CRT image displaying screen while operating keys. For instance, in the conventional poker game machine, only five cards selected in the machine are displayed on the screen, while the present invention modifies this playing method in such a manner that all the cards are displayed in an aligned fashion in a turned-over state. In accordance with the present invention, selection of the cards is performed by the game player himself or herself, and therefore the game becomes more interesting and has the effect of eliminating a feeling of doubtfulness or distinct about the game machine.

  • Patent number: 4515366
Abstract: A slot machine includes a plurality of rotary drums on the periphery of which plural frames of patterns are depicted. Detecting plates are connected to each rotary drum and the detecting plates are provided with pattern detecting elements whose number corresponds to the number of frames. Readers detect passage of the pattern detecting elements during drum rotation, and a control device counts the output of the readers and specifies the patterns positioned on a stop line based on the counted value after the drum stops. Each of the detecting plates provides for pattern confirmation which discriminates the pattern positioned on the stop line at least from the preceding and following frames of patterns when the drum is stopped, and the counted value is corrected in response to the pattern confirming device.
