  • Publication number: 20140232268
Abstract: The lighting device according to the present invention includes a power supply circuit, a temperature detection circuit, and a temperature control circuit. The power supply circuit supplies operation power to a light source including a solid state light emitting device. The temperature detection circuit measures a surrounding temperature of the light source and outputs the measured surrounding temperature as a detection temperature. The temperature control circuit determines whether an increase rate of the surrounding temperature exceeds a predetermined criterion value. When determining that the increase rate exceeds the criterion value, the temperature control circuit performs a process of decreasing a temperature of the light source.

  • Publication number: 20140032073
Abstract: In a parking lock control device of a vehicle of the present invention, when a parking lock activation compound is outputted, either one of the parking lock mechanisms is activated. When the steering wheel is steered to a right hand side, the left side parking lock mechanism is activated. When the steering wheel is steered to a left hand side, the right side parking lock mechanism is activated. Thus, power consumption is suppressed. Abstract: In a parking lock control device of a vehicle of the present invention, when a parking lock activation command is outputted, either one of parking lock mechanisms is activated. In this state, a movement of the vehicle is estimated or detected, and when the vehicle movement is a predetermined amount or more, the parking lock control device generates a torque that suppresses the vehicle movement by the motor connected to the other parking lock mechanism. Power consumption associated with the parking lock is then suppressed.

  • Patent number: 8581510
Abstract: In order to suppress a peak of an excessive current and suppress a variation in a resonance voltage of a resonator, which are likely to occur immediately after a discharge lamp starts lighting, in a case where a high-frequency current continuously flows asymmetrically with respect to a zero current instead of flowing symmetrically on positive and negative sides immediately after the lighting since electrodes of the discharge lamp are not evenly warmed, the resonance voltage and the high-frequency current are finely adjusted in a resonance voltage and high-frequency current setting method including setting a drive frequency of an inverter circuit and varying output from a down-converter.

  • Publication number: 20130242047
Abstract: A depth signal generation apparatus includes a depth signal estimation unit, a depth signal histogram generator, and a depth signal level converter. The depth signal estimation unit estimates a depth signal for each pixel of a predetermined unit in a video image signal. The depth signal histogram generator divides a range of a depth signal level which the depth signal can have, into depth signal level regions each having a predetermined range size, determines which depth signal level region includes the depth signal for each pixel, counts the number of pixels included in each depth signal level region to generate depth signal histogram data according to the count value. The depth signal level converter generates a depth signal level conversion curve according to the depth signal histogram data and generates a depth signal after level conversion by executing depth signal level conversion according to the depth signal level conversion curve.

  • Patent number: 8503843
Abstract: The present invention provides a hybrid integrated optical module having a high coupling efficiency by suppressing a connection loss between waveguides. A hybrid integrated optical module according to an embodiment of the present invention is an optical module which integrates a semiconductor chip and a PLC chip. The semiconductor chip has a semiconductor waveguide and is mounted on a Si bench. The PLC chip includes a PLC substrate and an optical waveguide formed on the PLC substrate. An end face of the semiconductor chip protrudes from an end face of the Si bench toward the PLC chip side by a protrusion amount X. Gap adjustment (adjustment of a distance D) between the semiconductor waveguide and the optical waveguide becomes possible by setting a position where the end face of the semiconductor chip is brought into contact with an end face of the PLC chip to be a reference position (zero point).

  • Patent number: 8363166
Abstract: A Gaussian filter 2 having a first cutoff frequency extracts a low frequency component signal of a video signal. A subtracter 3 extracts a high frequency component signal by subtracting the low frequency component signal from the video signal. A low pass filter 5 having a second cutoff frequency higher than the first cutoff frequency extracts a lower high frequency component signal, which is a low-frequency-side signal of the high frequency component signal. A multiplier 6 generates a corrected component signal by multiplying the lower high frequency component signal by a predetermined gain G1. An adder 7 adds the corrected component signal to the video signal.

  • Patent number: 8351648
Abstract: An apparatus is provided to control an angle of a light axis of light from headlights mounted on a vehicle. In the apparatus, images of a field of view in front of the vehicle are captured, and the captured images are used to detect taillights of a preceding vehicle. A illumination target position is set by using, as a positional reference, a position of the detected taillights in the captured images, and the angle of the light axis so that the light axis is directed to the illumination target position. The command is provided to an angle changing device, where the provided command depends on the angle calculated. The angle changing device changes the direction of the light axis of the light at an angle commanded by the command.
