  • Patent number: 8382380
Abstract: Tapered rollers are retained between outer and inner rings by a retainer to be circumferentially spaced apart from each other. The inner ring has a raceway on its outer surface and includes small and large-diameter flanges at the small- and large-diameter ends of the raceway, respectively. The retainer includes two annular portions and crossbars extending between the annular portions. Its radially inner surface is located radially inwardly of the pitch cone of the tapered rollers to increase the thickness of the crossbars and the axial thickness of the small-diameter annular portion. The conical surface defined by the outer surfaces of the crossbars has an inclination angle that is greater than the central angle of the bearing to increase the volume of the crossbars. The rigidity of the retainer is thus increased.

  • Publication number: 20090129713
Abstract: It is aimed to increase the rigidity of an angular contact ball bearing of the type in which each ball contacts at least one of the raceways at two points, improve the lubricating environment of the balls, reduce the weight of the bearing while maintaining wear resistance and rigidity of the balls, reduce the weight of the bearing while maintaining wear resistance of the balls, improve the radial rigidity and axial rigidity of the bearing in a balanced manner, or to supply a sufficient amount of lubricating oil into an internal area between the two contact points between each ball and the raceway. A counter portion 7 is formed. With each ball 6 in contact with the raceway at two points, a gap is present between the portion of the bearing ring at the bearing centerline C and each ball 6. The balls 6 may be ceramic balls. A coating for improving wear resistance may be applied to the balls.

  • Publication number: 20080193072
Abstract: An angular contact ball bearing includes a plurality of balls disposed between raceways of inner and outer bearing rings. Each ball is in contact with at least one of the raceways at two points having different contact angles from each other and located on an opposite side of a bearing centerline from a point at which each ball is in contact with the other of the raceways. The bearing is a full complement bearing, wherein the balls are arranged in a full complement. With this arrangement, it is possible to minimize the contact stress at the two contact points where the radial load and the axial load in one direction are supported, thereby reducing elastic deformation at the two contact points. This makes it possible to further increase the rigidity of the bearing.

  • Publication number: 20080193067
Abstract: A tapered roller bearing is proposed for supporting each of planetary rotary members that rotate about a common axis and their own axes. The tapered roller bearing includes an inner ring spacer provided adjacent to the small-diameter flange of the inner ring. The retainer retaining the tapered rollers in position includes small- and large-diameter annular portions and bridges connecting the two annular portions together. The retainer further includes a disk portion extending radially inwardly from the axially outer end of the small-diameter annular portion, and a third annular portion extending axially outwardly from the radially inner end of the disk portion. The third annular portion has a radially inner guided surface guided by the radially outer guiding surface of the inner ring spacer. A hardened surface layer and a lubricating film are formed on the radially outer guiding surface of the inner ring spacer.

  • Publication number: 20080118344
Abstract: In a support structure supporting a shaft of a helical gear, a shaft of a speed increase for a wind power generator with a helical gear, or a vertical shaft by a double row rolling element, the double row rolling bearing is so formed that load capacities on the bearing in the right and left rows are different from each other so that the load capacity on the bearing in the row where the rolling bearing receives a large axial load can be increased.

  • Patent number: 6217225
Abstract: A wheel support device which is easy to assemble and compact in size. A pair of tapered roller bearings are mounted on the outer periphery of an axle. The pair of tapered roller bearings rotatably support an axle hub that rotates together with a wheel. A seal assembly is mounted between the outer and inner rings of one of the tapered roller bearings. The seal assembly prevents leakage of grease sealed in the axle hub and entry of muddy water from outside, and makes it unnecessary to provide a separate seal member, thus making it possible to assemble the wheel support device easily and to reduce its size.

  • Patent number: 5930772
Abstract: When an accounting process is performed through connectionless communications such as a WWW, etc., a retrieval CGI stores a retrieval result in a file having a file name generated from a process ID and a user ID. Then, a retrieving/accounting process is performed in units of a user ID and a process ID. A session is managed using the process ID as information to be exchanged, thereby requiring no resident combinational software. Furthermore, a volume-dependent accounting can be realized even when communications are disconnected.

  • Patent number: 5043044
Abstract: A silicon wafer in which a plurality of semiconductor devices are to be formed is disclosed. The silicon wafer has a convex front surface before a process step for forming the semiconductor devices is conducted. The shape of the convex is designed such that during process steps to form and to complete the semiconductor devices in the silicon wafer, the shape of the front surface usually maintains convex conditions without changing to a concave condition.
