  • Publication number: 20100226733
Abstract: A bookbinding system includes an image forming apparatus, a plurality of post-processing apparatuses, a controller, and an operation-and-display unit. The image forming apparatus forms images on recording media and outputs the recording media. The plurality of post-processing apparatuses is connected to the image forming apparatus and includes at least a folding apparatus and a ring-binding apparatus. The folding apparatus folds the recording media according to a plurality of folding types including at least Z-shape folding and double folding. The ring-binding apparatus binds the recording media with a ring. The controller is communicatively connected to the image forming apparatus and the plurality of post-processing apparatuses and prevents simultaneous selection of ring binding and a folding type incompatible with ring binding. The operation-and-display unit displays an indication that ring binding and the folding type incompatible with ring binding are not simultaneously selectable.

  • Publication number: 20070056423
Abstract: A perforator configured to perforate a sheet includes a first frame and a blade. The first frame includes a first main face having a first hole, and is provided under a transport path of the sheet. The blade is moved into the first hole to perforate the sheet transported in the transport path. A bending strength of the first main face in a vertical direction with respect to the transport path of the sheet is smaller than a bending strength of the first main face in a parallel direction with respect to the transport path of the sheet.

  • Publication number: 20060047899
Abstract: A storage device control apparatus includes a channel control unit for outputting an I/O request for a storage device, having a CPU for receiving a data input/output request in a file unit, an I/O processor for outputting the I/O request corresponding to the data input/output request in the file unit in response to an instruction from the CPU, and a memory system for temporarily storing information required for a file access process of the CPU. The memory system includes a plurality of memory modules and a memory controller for controlling memory access to the plurality of memory modules, a command, an address and data being serially transmitted from the memory controller to each of the memory modules. Each of the memory modules has a plurality of memory elements and a plurality of buffer units. The memory controller and the memory system are connected by duplicated serial interfaces.

  • Publication number: 20030035141
Abstract: A communication apparatus is connected to a terminal apparatus via a network. The communication apparatus includes a receiver that receives e-mail data via the network, a memory that stores the received e-mail data, and a generator that generates management data corresponding to the stored e-mail data, as a structured document. A server transmits the management data to the terminal apparatus when a request for the management data is received from the terminal apparatus. The management data is displayable at the terminal apparatus, and the terminal apparatus designates the management data to delete e-mail data in the memory, corresponding the designated management data. A deleting section, when the designated management data and a request for deletion are received from the terminal apparatus via the network, deletes e-mail data stored in the memory, corresponding to the designated management data.
