  • Patent number: 8775261
Abstract: In a network advertisement system, an information processing section includes a module to store, when sales or service operation is conducted for a first terminal, purchase history of articles or services of the first terminal; and a Social Network Service includes an extraction module to extract, on receiving from the module a notification of the reception of the article or service by the first terminal, registered users related to the user of the first terminal. The SNS notifies the reception of the article or service by the first terminal to terminals of the registered users thus extracted. When a second terminal receives purchase of an article or provision of a service on the basis of the notification of purchase information of plural users, a degree of contribution to the sales promotion is expressed by a numeric value for each of the plural users by referring to the shop server and the SNS to reflect the degree of contribution to the affiliate.

  • Patent number: 7039021
Abstract: An authentication method and apparatus at a wireless LAN (local area network) system based on the IEEE 802.11, in which many STAs (terminal stations) are connected to APs (access points), and which can keep the security in authentication, is provided. At the authentication method, an authentication request from one of the STAs composed of a data terminal and a wireless LAN card is transmitted to one of the APs. The AP transmits a MAC (media access control) address of the STA to an authentication server by converting the authentication request to a protocol adaptable to the authentication server. The authentication server checks the MAC address and transmits a challenge message to the AP 2. The AP 2 executes encryption authentication with the STA based on a WEP (wired equivalent privacy) algorithm stipulated in the IEEE 802.11.

  • Patent number: 7016333
Abstract: In a TDMA/TDD transmitter, a control data generation unit receives assignment terms for a number of time slots and slot data from an external source, produces a set of assignment control data according to the assignment terms and the slot data and stores the set of assignment control data into an entry of a control data table in response to a transfer command signal. A sequence controller analyzes sets of assignment control data maintained in the control data generation unit and produces a number of address pointers. The address pointers are stored in an address pointer table in such a sequence that they can be sequentially read out in a desired transmission sequence. The aforesaid transfer command signal is supplied from the sequence controller to the control data generation unit in response to each of the address pointers.

  • Publication number: 20050054329
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a wireless network registration system which eliminates manual labor with respect to registration of a wireless connection apparatus with a wireless network, and in which setting may be executed very easily without making any errors even by people of a wide variety of ages or conditions to be targeted for a home electric appliance. A network management apparatus is connected to a wireless network through a wireless access point, and has address information, authentication information, encryption key information and the like for a wireless connection apparatus to be connected to the wireless network.

  • Publication number: 20020046179
Abstract: A method for offering a virtual public access service is provided, which makes it easier for mobile users to have access to a network (e.g., the Internet and/or LAN) by radio, and which makes it possible to realize faster communication than the existing public mobile telephone network. In the step (a), a contract is made by a provider of a virtual public access service, with a network owner/manager who owns and/or manages a network system that are accessible to authorized network users. The contract includes a clause that the network owner/manager gives the provider permission to place a radio access point device that forms a radio access point in the network system and to connect the radio access point to the Internet by way of the network system. The contract further includes a clause that the network owner/manager can get payment for the permission from the provider.

  • Patent number: 5978361
Abstract: An ATM digital radio transmission system bi-directionally transmits the ATM cell data from an ATM switch or ATM terminal between the radio base station and a plurality of radio subscriber stations over a radio circuit in a TDMA/TDD system. The TDMA/TDD system consists of a plurality of burst signals, each of which has a different configuration from an ordinary ATM cell only in its header section unique to the radio transmission. Idle cells are inserted to the radio transmission speed. The receiver side detects error bits in the header and payload sections to prevent occurrence of cell loss or the like.

  • Patent number: 5970061
Abstract: A transmission space diversity method which is effective also for a communication system wherein different carrier frequencies are used for transmission and reception is disclosed. Such reception space diversity control that a controlling signal from terminal station 10 is received by two antennas 1 and 2 and receivers 3 and 4 of a base station and the two received controlling signals are compared with each other by reception space diversity controlling signal generation circuit 6 and then that signal which exhibits a higher reception level is provided to switch circuit 8. Furthermore, the reception space diversity controlling signal is utilized for transmission space diversity control of antenna selection wherein the output of transmitter 5 is emitted by one of the antennas.
