  • Patent number: 6832526
Abstract: A bending apparatus for bending a workpiece W according to cooperation of a punch P and a die D previously carries out various step bending or makes simulation of step bending, and calculates an approximation formula based on a correlation between a ratio % of a one-sided elongation value &agr; to a plate thickness t and a step bending angle &thgr; based on a relationship among the plate thickness t, the step bending angle &thgr; and the one-sided elongation value &agr; of the workpiece W so as to store the formula as a database. The more accurate one-sided elongation value &agr; of the step bending is calculated by small parameters including only two data including the plate thickness t and the step bending angle &thgr; previously input at the time of actual bending based on the approximation formula in the data base so that the bending is carried out easily.

  • Publication number: 20040202153
Abstract: An IP-PBX has a software-based built-in control unit, a card slot into which a control card is plugged, and a data bus connecting the software-based control unit and the card slot. The software-based control unit includes a first management unit managing up to a first number of IP terminals, and an IP terminal registering unit connected to the first management unit and the card slot. The control card includes a second management unit managing up to a second number of IP terminals. The IP terminal registering unit compares a current number of IP terminals managed by the first management unit with the first number when an IP terminal requests communication. The IP terminal has an ID number and an IP address. If the current number is smaller than the first number, the IP terminal registering unit associates the first management unit with the ID number and the IP address, and the first management unit manages the IP terminal.

  • Patent number: 6796155
Abstract: A plate thickness detector for a bending machine causes a punch to make a relative stroke and bend a workpiece mounted on an upper surface of a die cooperatively by the punch and the die. A displacement gauge is provided in the die, is always urged upward from a V-groove of the die, and measures a distance from the upper surface of the die to a lower surface of the workpiece. A ram position detector detects a relative stroke quantity of the punch to the die. The punch is caused to bend the workpiece from a position away from the die by a reference inter-blade distance.

  • Patent number: 6745030
Abstract: In a mobile communication system, when a mobile visitor terminal registered at a first network enters a second network, it sends a registration signal to a first exchange belonging to the second network. The first exchange sends a roaming start request signal to the first network. On receiving authentication information from the first network, the exchange writes it in a VLR (Visitor Location Register) storage. On the origination of a call on the visitor terminal, call information is written to a call information storage. A third exchange stores in an VLR holding node number storage the fact that the call information is stored in the first exchange. When the visitor terminal moves to the area of a second exchange, the second exchange sees, based on the content of the VLR holding node number storage, that the authentication information is stored in the first exchange, and obtains it. The second exchange switches connection thereto on the basis of the authentication information and call information.

  • Patent number: 6516043
Abstract: A fuel assembly includes a plurality of fuel rods placed in a square lattice array of 9-rows/9-columns and at least one water rod. In this fuel assembly, the fuel rod pitch of the plurality of fuel rods is in a range of 14.15 mm to 14.65 mm, and means for offsetting and holding a fuel bundle composed of the fuel rods and the water rod is provided in such a manner that the center in a cross section of the fuel bundle is offset from the center in a cross section of the lower tie plate toward the channel fastener side. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a fuel assembly for a D-lattice core, which is capable of achieving the fuel economy comparable to that of a C-lattice core without reducing the thermal margin, and of using the existing fuel spacers.

  • Publication number: 20030015011
Abstract: An actual plate thickness and actual material constants are measured during punching before bending. The measured information is reflected on the bending, so that the bending is performed efficiently and accurately. Punching is carried out for each blank developed based on a nominal plate thickness and nominal material constants in blanking before the bending of a work W. Then, an actual plate thickness distribution and an actual material constant distribution of the work W are calculated based on various data containing a ram stroke and a pressure detected in the punching.

  • Publication number: 20030010078
Abstract: At a time of executing a bending process of a work according to a cooperation between a punch and a die, a provisional stroke value for obtaining a predetermined angle is determined on the basis of a bending process condition. A test bending process is executed on the basis of the provisional stroke value, and a striking number required for striking the work until the predetermined angle is obtained is judged. Since a stroke value correction amount at a time of a main bending corresponding to the striking number and the predetermined angle is previously determined, a main bending process is executed by correcting to a stroke value at a time of the main bending by computing the corresponding stroke value correction amount on the basis of the stroke value correction amount at a time of the main bending process.

  • Patent number: 6504889
Abstract: A method of operating a nuclear reactor reduces the number of reload fuels to be loaded into the nuclear reactor in the second and the following operation cycles. The nuclear reactor has a reactor core in which a plurality of reload fuel assemblies respectively having different infinite multiplication factors are arranged. The method operates the nuclear reactor with control rods inserted in control cells each comprising four reload fuel assemblies having relatively large infinite multiplication factors among the plurality of reload fuel assemblies for a period longer than half of a period of an operation cycle.

  • Publication number: 20030000269
Abstract: In bending a workpiece (W), a position of the workpiece W relatively pressed down by a punch (P) is directly detected by a plurality of position detection means (RDC1, RDC2 and RDC3) provided in a V-groove (11) of a die, and a bending speed calculation section obtains a bending speed from a change in this position. If bending speeds at position of the respective position detection means differ, a uniform speed arithmetic operation section calculates a bending speed to make the bending speeds at the positions of all of the position detection means uniform, and a driving shaft instruction section controls driving shafts (7L, 7R) to bend the workpiece at the uniform bending speed.

  • Patent number: 6335956
Abstract: Each of short-length fuel rods 3 is arranged at a position other than in 3×3 corner regions 6 to 9 in such a manner as not to be simultaneously adjacent to a water rod 5 and others of the short-sized fuel rods. Gd fuel rods 4 are arranged at positions excluding the outer periphery, and the number of those of the Gd fuel rods 4 adjacent to the short-length fuel rods 3 is one-half or less the total number of the Gd fuel rods. At a transverse cross-section of a region upward from upper ends of the short-sized fuel rods 3, the amount of burnable poison contained in a polygonal region 10 whose vertexes are located at centers of those of the first fuel rods 3 arranged at the outermost layer is smaller than the amount of burnable poison outside the region 10. With this configuration, a critical power can be improved in consideration of both a distribution of the flow of coolant and a distribution of a thermal power in the fuel assembly.

  • Patent number: 5857366
Abstract: A press brake for bending a sheet-shaped work between an upper tool and a lower die and a method of bending the work are provided. In the method, at first, bending angles at plural positions of the work are measured by a trial bending. Next, based on the bending angles obtained, an engagement positional relation between the upper tool and the lower die is corrected to achieve accurate bending of the work at a target bending angle in order to carry out the method, the press brake includes a control unit for calculating a D value of a distance from a bottom of the lower die to a tip of the upper tool.
