  • Patent number: 4912023
Abstract: The present invention provides a photographic light-sensitive material having at least one silver halide light-sensitive layer and at least one light-insensitive layer on a support, characterized in that the light-sensitive layer and/or the light-insensitive layer contain(s) a water-soluble or water-dispersible block copolymer comprising one component of a polyvinyl alcohol polymer and the other component of an ionic group-containing polymer. The support is preferably a reflective support, and the light-sensitive layer and/or the light-insensitive layer may contain a fluorescent whitening agent. The present photographic material is processed preferably in the presence of a fluorescent whitening agent. The present material forms a print with excellent background whiteness and excellent surface gloss. The appearance is not deteriorated after preservation under high moisture conditions for a long period of time.

  • Patent number: 4728595
Abstract: A photographic light-sensitive element is described comprising a support having provided thereon at least one of a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and an image-receiving layer, in which a layer comprising a light-reflective organic polymer is provided between the support and the light-sensitive silver halide layer or the image-receiving layer. The light-reflective organic polymer layer serves as a stripping layer without retarding image-formation.

  • Patent number: 4581328
Abstract: An internal latent image core/shell silver halide photographic emulsion containing core/shell silver halide grains is disclosed, the grains comprising a silver halide core which is doped with a metal ion or chemically sensitized or is both doped with a metal ion and chemically sensitized, and a silver halide shell which covers at least a sensitivity speck of the core, wherein both added iodine ion and a polymer having a specific repeating unit described in the specification are present on the surface of the core/shell silver halide grains. The emulsion has a high sensitivity even without chemical sensitization of the surface of core/shell silver halide grains.
