  • Patent number: 8002344
Abstract: A temperature adjustable seat is disclosed. The temperature adjustable seat comprises a seat and air being blown into an inside thereof a thermoelectric device for heating and cooling the air, an air-blower for blowing either heated air or cooled air by the thermoelectric device through the inside of the seat, and control device for controlling the thermoelectric device. The control device calculates a required heat quantity, the required heat quantity being a sum of a first heat quantity required for a seat surface temperature of the seat reaching to a target seat temperature and a second heat quantity that is given and received between the seat and an ambient environment and the control device controls a temperature of the thermoelectric device so as to supply the required heat quantity to the seat.

  • Patent number: 6433661
Abstract: A magnetic-field thermal treatment apparatus is used to carry out a thermal treatment for plural substrates, which are placed in a vacuum chamber, as a magnetic field is applied to the substrates. Around the vacuum chamber, a heater and a solenoid type cryocooler-cooled superconductive magnet unit as a magnetic field generating unit are provided. The substrates held in a substrate holder are retained in the interior of the vacuum chamber so that the surfaces of the substrates become parallel to one another in a vertical direction. The superconductive magnet unit has at least one superconductive coil surrounding the vacuum chamber horizontally so as to exert the magnetic field, which is parallel to the surfaces of the substrates, on the substrates.

  • Patent number: 4979958
Abstract: An artificial stem for femur of coxa in a human body comprises a stem element, a head and a neck connecting the both, each side surface of the stem element corresponding to the indise or outside of a human body being formed by a specific curved or straight line respectively, the cross section of the stem element having a specific shape, and scale-like step patterns being formed on both the front and back surfaces, thereby improving the fitness to the femur of a small body person like Japanese, the stability and the anti-twisting strength after insertion.

  • Patent number: 4553015
Abstract: A method of fabricating a piston for use in an automobile by welding. The head section and the skirt section of the piston are separately fabricated by casting such that these sections form the top wall portion of the piston when joined together and that the abutting surfaces of these sections form a portion of an oil circulating passage. Then, these sections are connected and welded together using an electron beam.
