  • Publication number: 20040143679
Abstract: An editing apparatus captures material data of audio and/or image data, edits the material data and generates main data. When an instruction to limit reproduction operation of the main data is made, the associated information including limitation information for limiting the reproduction operation of the main data so as to get a desired quality of content-representation is generated. The associated information is combined with the edited main data so that they are transmitted as the content data. Content-sending apparatus generates sending-data based on the data to transmit it. When the associated information including limitation information for limiting the reproduction operation of the main data is combined with the main data, content-reproducing apparatus performs reproduction operation based on the limitation information and controls reproduction speed, display size and the like. Content-representation apparatus represents audio and image at desired quality.

  • Patent number: 6611652
Abstract: An AV data input/output controlling circuit is connected through a data bus to a synchronous-asynchronous conversion circuit and through a control bus to a recording and reproduction controlling circuit. The AV data input/output controlling circuit inputs and outputs audio and/or video data of a normal data rate. The AV data input/output controlling circuit also inputs and outputs audio and/or video data of a higher data rate than usual. In the data recording and reproducing apparatus, audio and/or video data is transferred through a data bus synchronized with a reference synchronization signal S28 etc., the audio and/or video data input from an external unit is recorded in a storage device, and the audio and/or video data recorded in the storage device is reproduced and supplied to the outside.

  • Patent number: 6038370
Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing device and its method capable of alleviating the noise generated in the audio-output at the time of the variable speed reproduction mode. At the time of recording, a series of audio data is recorded on a tape recording medium, in units of plural data blocks respectively for each first unit, and an identification code for each first unit is added whereto; on the other hand, at the time of reproduction, the identification codes of the reproduced data blocks are sequentially detected, the most frequent identification code are inferred for each stated period from the result of the detection, and, when the identification code of the data block is other than the most frequent identification code, the identification code of the immediately preceding data block is held and sent out, and the stated interpolation process is performed when the output transfers to the succeeding audio data of the data block of the most frequent identification code.

  • Patent number: 5974225
Abstract: A video data recording apparatus which divides video data which has been compressed and encoded in units of groups of pictures (GOPs) comprised of the video data of a predetermined plurality of frames into a plurality of data blocks of a predetermined format, adding a GOP identifying code for identifying a GOP of compressed and encoded video data, recording on a predetermined number of slanted tracks on the tape the plurality of data blocks. Also, a video data reproduction apparatus which reproduces the video data recorded by the video data recording apparatus by simple tracking control.
