  • Publication number: 20100017837
Abstract: A video and audio stream is predicted that is to be selected for reception next to a video and audio stream that is being received by the terminal or that is after a video and audio stream that has been selected for reception by the terminal. Resources necessary for delivering the predicted video and audio stream, in addition to resources necessary for the video and audio stream that is being received by the terminal or that has been selected for reception by the terminal, are secured in advance before a user of the terminal selects the next video and audio stream. The predicted video and audio stream is not delivered to the terminal before it coincides with a video and audio stream that is selected at the next zapping.

  • Publication number: 20090207702
Abstract: An electromagnetic field generating element includes a conductor that generates near-field light when irradiated with light and generates a magnetic field when a current flows through the conductor. The electromagnetic field generating element further includes a soft magnetic body provided at a position along a dimension of the conductor, the dimension being perpendicular to (i) a direction in which the conductor faces a magnetic recording medium to which the near-field light and the magnetic field are applied and to (ii) a direction in which the current flows. The present invention thus allows for provision of an electromagnetic field generating element that allows for reduction in its power consumption in optically assisted magnetic read/write using near-field light.

  • Publication number: 20090177381
Abstract: A meta data set correlated with position information is acquired from a server via a communication interface unit (202) or a broadcast interface unit (201). A current position information acquisition unit (208) acquires the current position information and a content processing unit (203) outputs a content list matched with the search condition including the current position information from the meta data set. When a display list is generated according to the content list, a content display control unit (204) compares the content list to the display list. When they coincide, the meta data generates a display list without changing the display method and displays the search result on a browser unit (205) according to the display list generated by the content display control unit (204).

  • Publication number: 20090172332
Abstract: A instruction execution part of an information processing device outputs an access request including a first address information to specify an access destination based on an execution of an access command of an address space in a memory. The instruction execution part also outputs a check request including a second address information to specify a stack pointer point after extension based on an execution of a stack extension command to extend a stack included in the address space in the memory by updating a stack pointer. A protection violation detection section of the information processing device detects whether the access destination includes the plurality of the partial spaces by collating the first information with the memory protection information stored in the memory protection information storage section.

  • Patent number: 7538014
Abstract: Disclosed are a method of producing a crystalline semiconductor material capable of improving the crystallinity and a method of fabricating a semiconductor device using the crystalline semiconductor material. An amorphous film is uniformly irradiated with a pulse laser beam (energy beam) emitted from an XeCl excimer laser by 150 times so as to heat the amorphous film at such a temperature as to partially melt crystal grains having the {100} orientations with respect to the vertical direction of a substrate and melt amorphous film or crystal grains having face orientations other than the {100} orientations. Silicon crystals having the {100} orientations newly occur between a silicon oxide film and liquid-phase silicon and are bonded to each other at random, to newly form crystal grains having the {100} orientations.

  • Patent number: 7523240
Abstract: An interrupt controller superior in maintenance performance and expandability. An interrupt controller 10 comprises a queue circuit 11 that holds channel numbers corresponding to interrupt inputs in the order of priority levels, and a queue control circuit 12 that changes the order of the channels held in the queue circuit 11 according to a new order of the priority levels when a priority level that corresponds to any channel number is changed. The order of the channel numbers in the queue circuit 11 is changed at a time of setting the priority levels unrelated to interrupt inputs. In order to select an interrupt to be notified to a CPU 20, an interrupt factor selection circuit 15 checks whether or not each channel number held in the queue circuit 11 has an interrupt input in turn from the head of the queue.

  • Publication number: 20090013351
Abstract: There is provided a preview distribution technique capable of realizing a flexible preview distribution between a distribution side and a user side. According to the technique, preview meta data describing reference destination information to the preview-constituting data of a plurality of types constituting the content preview is transmitted to a reception terminal. The reception terminal acquires the preview-constituting data by using the reference destination information described in the preview meta data and generates/reproduces the preview. Thus, when modifying the preview, the reception terminal can reproduce the preview after the modification, by acquiring only the data constituting the preview of the modified part, thereby easily modifying the data constituting the preview. That is, it is possible to perform a flexible preview distribution.
