  • Patent number: 9082183
Abstract: A data input unit is configured to receive an input image, depth data and a shooting parameter. A parameter input unit receives a transformation parameter as a parameter on projective transformation of a three-dimensional model, a transformed image generating unit that generate a transformed image by performing projective transformation based on the transformation parameter in the three-dimensional model obtained from the input image, the depth data, and the shooting parameter. A blank area detecting unit detects a blank area in the transformed image, the blank area being a group of blank pixels having no corresponding pixel in the input image, and an output unit is configured to output the transformed image in the case where a blank value indicating size of the blank area is smaller than or equal to a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 8466970
Abstract: An imaging apparatus wherein a captured image is subjected to a rotational transform so as to correct the inclination of one or more subjects in the captured image. The imaging apparatus defines, with reference to a physical inclination detected by a sensor, an angle range in which the image is to be processed. The imaging apparatus then processes the captured image and detects lines therein and inclination angles thereof. The imaging apparatus then creates histograms indicative of frequency distributions of the inclination angles of those lines, and selects, in the created histograms, an inclination angle having a frequency that satisfies a predetermined criterion, as a rotational angle to be used for the rotational transform.

  • Patent number: 8155345
Abstract: A wearable terminal is constantly worn by a user and continually picks up images and sounds from the surroundings. Even when using a directional microphone to sensitively pick up targeted audio, the wearable terminal can reduce noise occurring due to motion of the device, for example when the user is walking, and reduce the influence of a shift of the sound pickup direction. For this purpose, the wearable terminal includes a sensor for detecting motion, and performs microphone directivity control to use the directional microphone when the amount of motion is small, and to use an omnidirectional microphone that is not likely to be influenced by noise when the amount of motion is large.

  • Patent number: 7507898
Abstract: An operational information obtaining section of a music reproduction device obtains operational information which corresponds to a user's operation and represents an instruction on an action of a reproduction section for reproducing data of a musical composition. A selection condition calculation section changes, during the musical composition being reproduced by the reproduction section, relative merits of attribute information relating to the data of the musical composition in accordance with details of the operational information obtained by the operational information obtaining section, and then calculates, based on the relative merits of the attribute information, a condition for selecting the data of the musical composition to be reproduced by the reproduction section.

  • Patent number: 7373209
Abstract: The present invention implements a method and an apparatus for retrieving a sound data desired by the user on the basis of its subjective impression over the sound data. The subjective impression on the desired sound data is entered by the user and converted to a numerical value. A target sound impression value which is a numerical form of the impression on the sound data is calculated from the numerical value. The target sound impression value is then used as a retrieving key for accessing a sound database where the audio signal and the sound features of a plurality of the sound data are stored. This allows the desired sound data to be retrieved on the basis of the subjective impression of the user on the sound data.
