Abstract: A shopping system includes a center server (12), a dedicated terminal (14) always connected to the center server (12) via the Internet (18), and user ID cards (50). When information on selection of a specific commodity is transmitted from the dedicated terminal (14), the center server (12) transmits an advertisement moving picture file of the commodity to the dedicated terminal (14). Moreover, when a purchase request of the commodity is transmitted from the dedicated terminal (14), order information on the commodity is transmitted to a server (16) of the commodity provider. The dedicated terminal (14) is connected to a television (29) and includes a card reader (26) for reading ID cards, a dedicated Web browser, and means for reproducing a moving picture file having audio via the television (29). • Patent number: 6684389
Abstract: A decrypting compiler that accepts encrypted source code from a software manufacturer, decrypts the encrypted source code into plain text that is not accessible outside the compiler, and compiles the decrypted source code into linkable binary objects. Because the decrypting compiler decrypts the encrypted source code such that the plain text is not accessible outside the compiler, trade secret and proprietary information from the source code is not easily learned by third-party software developers.

  • Patent number: 5880702
Abstract: An image is displayed in an optimum state in accordance with the state of a display. For this purpose, an FLCD interface mounted in an information processing apparatus and an FLCD for actually displaying an image are connected through a data transfer bus for transferring image data to be displayed and a serial communication line for performing communications between them. When the FLCD detects a change in its own state, this information is supplied to a CPU of the FLCD interface through the serial communication line. An instruction for changing, e.g., the operating mode is also transmitted from the FLCD interface to the FLCD through the serial communication line.

  • Patent number: 4086661
Abstract: A cylindrical magnetic domain element is disclosed which utilizes a cylindrical magnetic domain (a magnetic bubble) produced by the application of a bias magnetic field to a magnetic sheet of orthoferrite, garnet or the like. Propagation patterns for the cylindrical magnetic domain are composed of a plurality of sets formed on one side of the magnetic sheet and have a multilayer construction with a non-magnetic film of SiO.sub.2 or the like between the layers. This multilayer construction allows for the formation of a propagation pattern having a relatively narrow pattern gap. Further, the propagation pattern is disclosed as having uniaxial magnetic anisotropy, which facilitates the magnetic bubble propagation and ensures retaining of the magnetic bubble.
