  • Patent number: 6950147
Abstract: An apparatus discriminates a color format. The signal processing paths separate a luminance signal and a color signal from a broadcasting signal based on a plurality of color formats. The direct signal path provides a direct output of the broadcasting signal without separating the luminance signal and the color signal therefrom. The relay device selectively relays the broadcasting signal as input to any one of the respective signal processing paths and the direct signal path. The detection device detects color format variation of the broadcasting signal based on an output signal from the signal processing paths. The discrimination device discriminates the color format of the broadcasting signal based on the broadcasting signal as input through the direct signal path. The control device controls the relay device to relay the broadcasting signal to the direct signal path when color format variation is detected by the detection device.

  • Patent number: 5065963
Abstract: A travel control system for trains, especially monorail trains, is disclosed. At each stopping point, there is a stop target mounted adajcent to the rail. The train carries a detector for sensing the stop targets and bringing the train to a stop at such targets. At each stop, there is also provided a controllable signal transmitter, cooperating with a receiver carried by the train. The transmitter/receiver combination has a greater effective transmitting range, in a lengthwise direction, than the stop target and its detector. Accordingly, the normal stop instructions can be overridden by activation of the controllable transmitter, allowing the train to pass through the stopping point without stopping. The controllable transmitter is also useful for restarting a train stopped in the normal course.

  • Patent number: 5040290
Abstract: A vehicle door mounting system mounts a door on a vehicle body by bringing a hinge member on the door into engagement with a hinge member on the vehicle body and inserting a hinge pin into hinge pin holes of the hinge members. The mounting system has a robot, and a door holding jig and a hinge pin inserting jig which are mounted on the robot. The robot is arranged so that it brings the door to a predetermined position with respect to the vehicle body where the hinge member on the door is engaged with the hinge member on the vehicle body while the door holding jig holds the door. The hinge pin inserting jig is separable from the door holding jig and is moved between an operative position where it inserts the hinge pin into the hinge pin holes and a hinge pin setting position where the hinge pin is set to the hinge pin inserting jig.

  • Patent number: 4961257
Abstract: A door assembling apparatus for use in automobile assembly having a door transport unit for conveying a door and for maintaining a hinge member of a vehicle body and a corresponding hinge member of a door loosely engaged with each other, a hinge-pin attaching unit for inserting a gib-headed hinge pin through the engaged hinge members, and a stopper for receiving a leading end of the hinge pin as being projected from and through the engaged hinge members. The leading end of the hinge pin increases in diameter through plastic deformation thereof by the contact with the stopper, and this increased diameter effectively prevents disengagement of the pin from the hinge members. With these features, the anti-disengagement operation can be effected very efficiently and conveniently through the plastic deformation of the leading end of the pin which is realized by effectively utilizing the original function of the hinge-pin attaching means, i.e. the function for causing the hinge pin to enter the hinge members.
