  • Patent number: 8408586
Abstract: A curtain airbag device for a vehicle has a curtain airbag main body 17 that is disposed along a longitudinal direction of a vehicle body while covered with an A pillar trim 41 and roof trim 42, and folded in an A pillar 7 and a roof side rail part 30 of the vehicle body so as to be able to deploy downward within a cabin. The curtain airbag main body 17 is provided with a twisted part 17b that is twisted such that an initial deployment force, generated upon inflation and deployment of the curtain airbag main body 17 located in a vicinity of the A pillar trim 41, is acted in a separation direction in which the A pillar trim 41 is parted away from the A pillar part 7, to push open the A pillar trim 41 toward an inside of the cabin. At least an upper surface of the twisted part 17b is regulated by a supporting bracket 21 and disposed in the vehicle body.

  • Publication number: 20120038135
Abstract: The present invention provides a side airbag device, in which an airbag lower portion including a loin protection portion is expanded generally right downward to expand and develop the loin protection portion quickly, so that at the time of a side crash of the vehicle, the airbag is located between the loins of the passenger and the door trim with certainty to protect the passenger, and a method for folding a bag section thereof. The airbag 42 includes an airbag upper portion 42U including a chest protection portion for protecting the chest of a passenger when the airbag 42 is developed and an airbag lower portion 42L including a loin protection portion for protecting the loins of the passenger when the airbag 42 is developed.

  • Patent number: 7190433
Abstract: A semiconductor manufacturing station (50) exposes light on a surface area of a spherical semiconductor device or ball (52). A mask (56) receives light from a light source (54) and passing the light to the surface area of the semiconductor ball according to a pattern of the mask. A lens (62) is positioned between the mask and the semiconductor ball such that a focal distance between the lens and the ball is variable to focus the light passed by the pattern of the mask on surface areas of the object. The pattern of the mask is made a series of concentric circles or rings (74–80) to focus light on desired surfaces of the semiconductor ball. The manufacturing system can be a plurality of optical stations (104–110) each configured to expose a circle or ring on the surface of the semiconductor ball as it passes in proximity to the plurality of optical stations.

  • Patent number: 5850342
Abstract: A machine tool control system is provided that is capable of detecting a one-sheet takeout failure. The system includes a workpiece takeout schedule which indicates the plate thickness and number of sheets to be taken out from a stack of workpieces for each product. A one-sheet takeout sensor is also provided to detect when a one-sheet takeout device fails to takeout or suck one-sheet from the pallet of workpieces. In addition, the system includes a restoration setting key which permits an operator to select one of a plurality of modes to continue control operation of a machine tool with a controller when a one-sheet takeout failure is detected. When information from the one-sheet takeout sensor indicates a one-sheet takeout failure, based on the set mode of the restoration setting key, the controller changes the measuring range, the accumulating place for the sucked workpiece, or skips the workpiece takeout schedule based on a detected plate thickness.
