Publication number: 20180030972Abstract: When a power switching element brought into contact with a contact part formed at a back side of a suction refrigerant passage is cooled by refrigerant that has been sucked in through a suction port and that is passing through the suction refrigerant passage, high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant flowing in from a compression chamber to a suction chamber is prevented from flowing back by a check valve. Therefore, there is always low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant in the suction refrigerant passage, and the power switching element can be efficiently cooled by the refrigerant in the suction refrigerant passage.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 5, 2016Publication date: February 1, 2018Applicant: CALSONIC KANSEI CORPORATIONInventor: Junichirou TERAZAWA

Publication number: 20160190899Abstract: An electric compressor includes a hollow cylindrical housing, a compression unit that compresses refrigerant, a motor that functions as a drive source of the compression unit, an inverter that controls the motor, and a refrigerant liquid accumulation unit that accumulates refrigerant liquid in the housing. The refrigerant liquid accumulation unit is disposed at a lower portion in the housing when the electric compressor is installed on the vehicle. According to the electric compressor, the refrigerant liquid is accumulated in the refrigerant liquid accumulation portion at a long-time stop, so that degradation of insulation property in the electric compressor (especially, of the motor and the inverter) can be prevented.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 15, 2013Publication date: June 30, 2016Applicant: CALSONIC KANSEI CORPORATIONInventors: Junichirou TERAZAWA, Toshiharu WATANABE, Katsuyoshi KAWACHI, Mitsuji YAMAMOTO

Patent number: 9033675Abstract: A rotary vane compressor includes a cylinder chamber having an ellipsoidal inner wall shape, a rotor rotatably provided in the cylinder chamber, a vane held in the rotor so as to contact with an inner wall surface of the cylinder chamber along with a rotation of the rotor, a vane slot provided on the rotor and offset on a reverse rotational side of the rotor from a radial line passing over a rotational center of the rotor, and a controller for controlling a rotation of the rotor. The controller reversely rotates the rotor for a predetermined time upon activating the compressor. According to the compressor, chattering can be prevented by surely protruding the vane from the vane slot without providing extra parts. In addition, the vane can be produced with easy working processes at low cost.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2010Date of Patent: May 19, 2015Assignee: CALSONIC KANSEI CORPORATIONInventors: Hirotada Shimaguchi, Takashi Kubo, Junichirou Terazawa

Patent number: 8985963Abstract: A vane compressor includes a cylinder block, a cylinder chamber having an ellipsoidal inner wall, a rotor whose outer circumferential surface is provided with vane slots formed thereon, a drive source for the rotor, and vanes housed in the vane slots, respectively. The rotor is rotated by the drive source while the vanes are protruded from the vane slots by backpressure generated in backpressure spaces in the vane slots to contact end edges of the vanes with the inner wall of the cylinder chamber. The compressor further comprises a stop mechanism that makes the rotor stopped at a predetermined rotational position where a difference between a total volume of the backpressure spaces when operated and a total volume of the backpressure spaces when stopped becomes minimum. According to the compressor, chattering can be prevented without extra workings on the vanes or the rotor and without providing extra parts.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 2010Date of Patent: March 24, 2015Assignee: Calsonic Kansei CorporationInventors: Junichirou Terazawa, Hirotada Shimaguchi
