    Abstract: A simultaneous bi-directional data transferring method includes obtaining a combined signal from a portion of a data line proximate a host device. The combined signal is a signal that combines input and output signals that are being transmitted over the data line. The output signal is a signal transmitted by the host device, and the input signal is a signal transmitted by a remote device. The combined signal is provided to first and second receivers of the host device. A first fixed reference voltage is inputted to the first receiver, and a second fixed reference voltage is inputted to the second receiver. The first and second fixed reference voltages are independent of values of the output signal. A first output receiver signal is outputted from the first receiver using the first fixed reference voltage and the combined signal, and a second output signal is outputted from the second receiver using the second fixed reference voltage and the combined signal.

    Abstract: A cleaning device for a vehicle lamp includes a cylinder, a piston slidably supported in the cylinder, an ejecting nozzle attached to a leading end portion of the piston, and a bracket for insertion into an attaching hole on a bumper of the vehicle. A structure for attaching the cleaning device to the bumper includes an opening edge portion surrounding the attaching hole of the bumper, engagement portions on the bracket, each of the engagement portions being elastically deformable and including a holding portion which comes into contact with a first surface of the bumper, and abutting surface portions on the bracket to face the respective holding portions. Each of the abutting surface portions comes into contact with a second surface of the bumper, and the opening edge portion is held between the holding portions and the abutting surface portions.

    Abstract: A headlamp apparatus for a vehicle includes a left-right deflecting device for deflecting an optical axis of illumination of a projector lamp in a left-and-right direction in correspondence with a steering angle of a vehicle; a vertically deflecting device for deflecting the optical axis of illumination of the projector lamp 30 in a vertical direction; and a deflection controlling device for effecting the operation of setting the optical axis by the left-right deflecting device at a time when the optical axis of illumination is in a state of being oriented in a lower direction than the horizontal direction by the vertically deflecting device. The optical axis position of the projector lamp is oriented in a lower direction than the horizontal direction by the vertically deflecting device until the optical axis position is set to a reference angular position by the left-right deflecting device.
