Patent number: 8075838Abstract: A compression molding which is high in both dimensional accuracy and mechanical strength is difficult to manufacture by a powder molding process. Especially, a molding including a soft magnetic material with high soft magnetic properties is difficult to manufacture. A composite metal molding according to the present invention includes metal particles and the carbide of a resin intervening among the particles. It is manufactured by coating metal particles with a resin, molding the prepared molding material under pressure into a predetermined shape, and heating the prepared pressurized preform to calcine the resin and weld mutually the particles. The carbide of the resin has a weight ratio of 0.001 to 2% to the metal particles when the particles have their proportion expressed as 100. The particles have a weld ratio of 10 to 80%. The particles preferably contain a soft magnetic material and the resin is preferably a furan resin.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2010Date of Patent: December 13, 2011Assignee: Canon Denshi Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Junji Hamana, Isamu Kawada, Naoaki Maruyama

Patent number: 5253135Abstract: A magnetic head for recording information on or reproducing information from a magnetic tape which slides relative to a tape sliding surface of the head while being pressed against the tape sliding surface by a pad. The magnetic head has a pair of projections on its tape sliding surface. The projections are disposed so that the ends of the pad, protruding beyond the edges of the tape, make contact with the projections. The projections are made by depositing liquid resin on the tape sliding surface using a screen printing process. The surfaces of the projections have traces of a fine mesh of a screen plate employed in the screen printing process.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 1991Date of Patent: October 12, 1993Assignee: Canon Denshi Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Junji Hamana

Patent number: 4894737Abstract: This invention proposes to form a pair of protruding or projecting stripe portions along the tape-gliding face of magnetic tape and to reduce the pad pressure to magnetic tape thereby reducing the gliding resistance of magnetic tape without increasing its spacing loss (first embodiment), to incline the plane of the projecting stripe portions in a decreasing direction in the vicinity of the tape-gliding face in order to stabilize the pad contact (second embodiment), to form grooves on the tape-gliding face of the magnetic core in the transversal edge portions at least in the tape entrance side thereby facilitating prevention of tape squeaking (third embodiment), to increase the height of one of the projecting stripe portions in the vicinity of head mounting position compared to that of the other stripe portion thereby preventing one-sided abrasion of the tape-gliding face (fourth embodiment), and to form tape guide members on the magnetic head for guiding the magnetic tape closer to one of the projecting stripType: GrantFiled: December 2, 1987Date of Patent: January 16, 1990Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Junji Hamana, Shinichi Hara, Makoto Miyagi

Patent number: 4413295Abstract: The present invention provides a magnetic head of which magnetic core is composed of thin plates of a high magnetic permeability, each provided with an adhesive layer comprising a granular substance. In such structure, the stress relaxation achieved by said granular substance prevents the loss of effective magnetic permeability of said core, thereby improving the high frequency characteristics. Also the presence of said granular substance realizes a hardness in the vicinity of said adhesive higher than that of said thin plates of a high magnetic permeability, thereby improving the abrasion resistance of said core. Furthermore said adhesive layer is rendered satisfactorily thinner than said thin plate to prevent the loss of sensitivity.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1982Date of Patent: November 1, 1983Assignees: Canon Denshi Kabushiki Kaisha, Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hiroaki Kato, Junji Hamana, Akeo Sakai, Yoshio Kawakami, Atsushi Goto, Saichiro Amano
