  • Patent number: 6086772
Abstract: A method for preventing biofouling in a cooling water system wherein ozone of high density is intermittently injected into a circulating line of a cooling water system in which cooling water is made to circulate in a closed system which includes a cooling tower and a heat exchanger. There is further disclosed an apparatus for preventing biofouling in a cooling water system, comprising an ozone generator for producing ozone, an ozone reservoir for temporarily storing the produced ozone, and an ozone injector for injecting the stored ozone into a circulating line of a cooling water system. Biofouling can be economically and reliably prevented.

  • Patent number: 6083464
Abstract: An ozone supplying apparatus comprising an ozone generator, an adsorption/desorption device for adsorbing and storing ozone from ozonized oxygen, and an ozone desorbing means, the apparatus being arranged to return oxygen to the ozone generator after desorbing ozone therefrom to desorb ozone from the adsorption/desorption device and to perform treatment of an object by mixing the ozone with fluid. The apparatus further includes a fluid storing means for storing fluid after being injected with ozone and a fluid treating means for treating the fluid after treatment of the object.

  • Patent number: 6054102
Abstract: An ozone producing apparatus comprising an ozone generator, an adsorption/desorption tower, and an ozone desorbing means for desorbing adsorbed and stored ozone for supply, wherein the apparatus further includes an ozone density measuring means, and a control circuit for adjusting an amount of electric power for the ozone generator by comparing the measured value detected by the measuring means with a set value. A specified amount of ozone can be desorbed and treated in a stable manner in a just sufficient amount also in a case in which characteristics of the adsorbent or the ozone generator, temperature or degree of pollution of the water, multiplication speed of microorganisms or reaction speed of ozone should happen to be changed, so that adhesion of slime can be prevented in a stable manner over a long period.
